What i'm talking about is people trying to say so and so is white, so lets have some black superheroes.. and the matter of the fact here is that there many other races except just black and white. So why is it that only these 2 races get to be focused on? rofl. This is still the funniest shit to me till this day.. Let me give you an example of how this has ruined superheroes.

Superman: Hes an alien, he has no human race. Yet for some reason, i always hear people saying "we need a black counter-part of superman, cause thats just selling white man." See now while i'm hearing this all I feel is being insulted.. So you are saying superman just has to be white or black? He can't be brown (which most of the recent versions of superman have his skin as.)? Yet the realty of the matter is WE DIDN'T GIVE A F*CK ABOUT HIS RACE WHEN WE WATCHED HIM OR READ HIS COMICS...

^^^ See that is just an example of what i'm talking about. It is so idiotic in comics and movies and cartoons when people talk about race they only mention whites and blacks. Either don't talk about any of them, or consider all of them.

Whats more worst is when people try to change the "race" of a superhero... Wally west and Human torch being the number 1 for this.. Really? So basically what this is telling me they don't give a **** about the african-american superheroes that were already made and added to the comics.. i mean yo people worked hard to create them. Show some respect. Yo Marvel, where BLACK PANTHER AT?! We been waiting on that dude for a long ass time. Yet they don't wanna focus on someone who is already of that color. :vincent: Yo DC, instead of making Wally West black, why not focus on John Stewart ? << The more popular green lantern for current times.

What about static shock? People loved static shock.. Yet my boy got nothing...

They literally butchered Wally West in the NEW 52.

I DON'T WANT HUMAN TORCH AS AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN..... I ACTUALLY WANT THE KING OF ****ING WAKANDA T'CHALLA aka the BLACK PANTHER...

I DON'T WANT WALLY WEST AS AN AFRICAN- AMERICAN.... I ACTUALLY WANT SOMEONE LIKE STATIC SHOCK OR CYBORG OR JOHN STEWART...

But yo what is your opinion regarding race and comics. Do you also find that when racism or race is put into comics all the other races besides black and white are kind of basically ignored? Does it not make you feel awkward when people seperate someone like Superman into races? Tell me of your point of view on this.

This isn't about black people or white people.. Its about racism ruining comics. o_O. In fact more "whites" complain about not enough "blacks" in comics than the actual "blacks" do.

eh not a fan of the falcon, or captain america.

But Human torch is african-america.... since he is black now in the movies and from america.

Could've been better than fury. And could've provided Marvel a more "realistic" type of movies also.

I like comics, but I'm not just that much of a fanatic. And while I could sit here and list the admittedly few superheros of African origin, there's no point. My idea is that if you want there to be more frequent and proper representation of blacks in comics, make your voice heard to DC and Marvel and try to champion for a change. Though got to admit, John Stewart is my favorite Green Lantern, and I can thank the Justice League animated series for that. Oh, and another character you didn't mention was Lt. Rhodes from the Ironman comics.

Why do people care if he's black or white ? It's about the movie, if he can play his role good who cares.. smh this generation is all ****ed up.

There are alot of characters i didn't mention. =p

And I don't really care about race in comics, what i do hate is changing of race of characters that already exist to claim that they are "balancing" it out. Now that is an insult.

ahahahha dude John was cool as **** in that show XD

"why do people care if he's black or white?" Why do we care if Superman is samoan? why do we care if batman is indian? Because we care for the characters.

Read the thread, and you will realize the problem isn't that.. the problem being discussed at hand is about racism.. you yourself are only mentioning 2 races.. Why didn't you put samoans? mexicans? indians? Chinese? .... that is the issue.
