Looks:
Raven's appearance is seen as dark and mysterious throughout the series. Her outfit is mostly made up of her favorite color, dark blue-indigo. She usually wears a blue cloak with a hood, with matching blue ruffled ankle-boots with black-gray soles, with a leotard-like long-sleeved shirt that is blue-black with cuffs at her wrists of the same blue of her cloak. On her cloak, she has a circular black-red jewel set in a gold plate that attaches the whole thing together. The jewel also sometimes has a raven head shape in the jewel. Around her waist she has a red and gold belt with the same jewels around it and no pants. The belt ties at the back like a cord. Her eyes are violet and her hair is black but looks violet in the sunlight. She is quite attractive and beautiful even if she doesn’t think she is. She also hasa a scar on her hand that helps her preform dark release jutsu’s.
Personality:
Raven is mysterious, quiet, emotionless, studious, and sarcastic. She can always come up with a witty remark and attempts to be funny in her own way. However, as much as she may seem slightly distant and anti-social, she is also very friendly to those she finds to be her friends. Anyone who isn’t her friend she automatically doesn’t like and tries to stir clear of them is she isn’t fighting them.

18 years ago:
Almost 18 years ago, a woman by the name of Angela "Arella" Roth was a villager of Kirigakure. She wasn't a ninja at all due to her being a pacifists. She became a flower vender that frequently made trips from Kiri to Konoha to exchange flowers to the Yamanaka's. However one day, after coming back from a trip to Konoha, she decided to stop at the local tavern to get a quick drink and a meal, unknowing the fact that someone from her own village was following her. Before making it home, the person following her had decided to violate her in the worst ways. The guy later fled the village and became a rogue ninja. After the incident, Angela decided to move to a different part of Kirigakure and made sure that no one would harm her or her soon-to-be child. About 9 months later, Rachel was born with weird marking on her left palm.
Childhood
Around the time that Rachel became 6 years old, she wanted to become a ninja as most of her neighborhood friends were going to be ninjas one day. Despite her mother not liking it, Rachel was able to attend the Ninja academy and by the time she was 12, she had graduated. It was hard for her to pass because of her being a shut-out and because of her strange markings, but she made it.
Leaving Kitigakure
Rachel had just turned 15 and was helping her mother out with her flower shop on days that she wasn't out doing missions. Her mother had told her about her father but didn't mention much as it was a touchy subject. After the talk, Rachel had thought about the man, and how he could be responsible for the marking on her palm and what they mean, and about moving to a new location for a bit, in search of the man. Without telling her mother, she snuck out and headed out on the road. Two days past and she made no effort in finding this man until she stopped in a little town that was close to Kumogakure. At the tavern, She saw a man with the exact same marking on his left hand and decided to follow him after he left the tavern. Come to find out that man was indeed her father.
Learning Dark Release
She learned that the mark on her hand was a special mark that can absorb chakra through the upper square on her hand and release it back through the lower square. It was known as Meiton or Dark Release. Curious, she decided to learn how to use Meiton from her father, as he was a master at it. It took her about 3 months to master it and after mastering it, so she decided it was time to return to her home in Kiri. When she got there though, She wasn't expecting to see what she had seen. Her mother's flower shop was a wreck and her mother was nowhere to be found. Rachel looked everywhere and eventually found her, hanging from the ceiling by a rope with a note saying 'to my sweet little raven', a name her 'father' gave her during training. Rachel decided to change her name to Raven and move to a new place, Kumogakure, and eventually find her father and kill him.
