I've never been a soldier so I'm not going to tell you "I know how you feel" but I've lost people that I've cared about too, so I kind of do get how that must feel, it's not your fault that you're alive it might be luck, coincidence or if you're the religious type it could be divine intervention; what ever it maybe what's important is that you're here and you're alive. Your fallen comrades sacrifices must be meaningful, for this to happen people like you who had a second chance should make the best of your lives, live to your full potential; but most importantly remember that you're alive because of so many sacrifices so many people made including your friends live the lives they never could and remember and thank them.
