Open field, lake mid range to your right. I'll be using my Gaara bio.
Gaara stands watching you from mid range, wondering who this strange ninja could be, so he gathers some of his sand from his gourd into a cloud above you causing needles to rain down on you from above:

As soon as sand begins to form in Sing's vicinity he quickly releases his chakra around himself to form a whirlwind of wind and lightning shaped like a dragon with him standing in the center. The dragon blows away the weaker sand around. Sing then directs the dragon to attack his opponent with its mouth open.

Gaara watches as his sand is blocked by the lightning. He then notices the dragon continue towards him. He simply turns into a cloud of sand blowing around to your right avoiding the dragon of lightning, reforming mid range from you still.

As soon as Sing notices the huge arms erupt from the ground he releases a surge of non focused electricity around him strong enough to subdue them. He then proceeds to mold more lightning chakra in his mouth while making a single handseal and shoot out a powerful spear of lightning directed at his opponent's heart.

As the lightning is released towards gaara, using his mastery of wind thanks to the shikaku, he gathers his chakra releasing a large blast of wind outwards canceling out the lighting:

Description: The user does the Ram handseal and inhales, kneading his chakra into his lungs, exhaling a huge blast of wind that levels anything in its path. Can cause major damage and requires a sufficient chakra level to perform. This large wind blast moves in tremendous speed and cannot be controlled. If the user gets caught in it, it will harm him also.
Gaara waits to see what you do to see if you use anything apart from lightning.
When Sing sees his opponent launch a powerful wind technique at him. He braces himself for impact by planting his feet firmly on the ground, crouching slightly and stretching his palms forward, revealing his paws. The massive attack slams into Sing's outstretched palms and disappears almost instantaneously. Immediately Sing absorbs the force of his opponent's attack, he rapidly thrusts his palms toward the opponent sending incredibly fast pressure shots at him. He keeps the opponent in his sight at all times and makes sure to direct them right at him.

Thanks to gaara's ultimate defense, his sand reacts on its own, surrounding him blocking all the paw attacks one after another, leaving him unhurt:

A self sustaining, self aware, autonomous defense, its the technique which made Gaara renown for having what was later called "Perfect Defense". Basically, any Sand nearby will encircle the user and move to intercept any attack that is used against him. The sand is fast enough to intercept otherwise "instant" techniques such as Amaterasu or very fast Taijutsu attacks (up to trice the users base speed) and can stop A-Rank blunt force impacts such as those delivered by Taijutsu or solid elements. The sand can even create an otherwise perfect sphere of sand around the user in a split second. Even if the user is unaware of an attack, the sand will protect him. The disadvantage is that the shield will drain chakra from the user each time it defends him, which happens without his input. However, the user can still defend from techniques and "will" the shield to not act if he is in the process of producing a counter to the impending attack. In some special circumstances, the sand can gather and form a female-like protector in the path of an incoming technique, much stronger than the normal shield of sand and which can protect the user from attacks up to S-Rank.
Note: Its defensive abilities still follow elemental weakness and strengths.

As Gaara's sand is protecting him from Sing's paw attacks, Sing performs a single handseal and slams his hands on the ground causing lightning to pool up directly under Gaara's feet and forms a column of lightning to shock Gaara.

As Gaara sees you slam you hand on the ground, his body turns to sand and shoots around towards you from your right with great speed. As he is moving, he grathers the sand below you grabbing you by the hands,which you slammed down, and crushes your hands. Gaara reforms mid range from you on your right, 20m in the air on his sand cloud:

Description: Gaara will manipulate sand from either his gourd or call it forth from the ground, using hand gestures to control it as he shapes it and uses it to his needs. He can use it to restrain enemies, defend from incoming techniques, produce simple constructs of sand (which lose their shape if control is released), sand waves, etc. If he uses the sand from his gourd, the technique is both faster and stronger, gaining a rank in strength.

Description: A cloud of sand that levitates the user to protect them from harm or to give then an air advantage.
As Sing releases his lightning technique he notices his opponent disperse into sand and literally blow away. He can't help but murmur to himself what a pesky trait the opponent's sand was. Shortly after his opponent had transformed into sand Sing notices the ground where his palms were begin to shift as sand began to wrap around his hands. As the sand attempts to wrap around his hands he expertly utilizes the element he loved so much and was especially good in, lightning, and releases a lightning surge into the ground through his right hand with the intention of neutralizing the ground based attack. As his defense succeeds in its aim, Sing rises up and focuses on his opponent who is now floating on a cloud of sand.
Sing continues by creating a lightning vortex shaped as a dragon around him that immediately launches at the airborne opponent after being created.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty
(Raiton: Rairyu no Tatsumaki) - Lightning Release: Thunder Dragon Tornado

Description: The user forms a whirling vortex of electricity around themselves. The vortex will take on the form of a dragon’s head and will grow to then shoot forward and cover the area in front of them. Even if the attack doesn't directly connect with his foe, the lightning can jump from the vortex to hit a nearby target.

Gaara sees you break free of the sand and release the lightning towards him on his sand cloud. Using his mastery of wind which he gained from having shikaku inside him all those years, he gathers his chakra swinging his arm upwards releasing hundreds of slashes of wind forwards which slice through your lighting negating it and continues towards you as a B rank wind jutsu:

If the Sickle Weasel Technique can be regarded as a swarm of small wind kunai, then this technique is akin to a virtually unavoidable longsword which can leave the target's body mutilated. Just being in close proximity to the technique can cause minor cuts. The wind blades can be created and thrown, like projectiles, in rapid succession, although in this case, each one weaker than the single use application. The technique cannot be blocked by physical weapons and is insanely fast by not relying on the use of Hand seals but, because it still requires the user to perform hand gestures to use and is somewhat visible in the effect it produces, it can still be defended against by using appropriate evasion techniques or fast elemental ninjutsu.

As it reaches you with great speed as gaara's cloud shoots downwards after the wind is released. But as you see it coming the ground errupts into the face of shikaku as you're hit by the wind being swallowed into the earth, as you're swallowed gaara slams his hands on the ground crushing you:

As the blade of wind travels towards Sing, he utilizes his lightning chakra to create a surge of electricity towards the oncoming attack. The two clash short range from Sing and nullify each other.
After this counter, Sing notices Gaara swooping towards him at great speeds. No sooner had he seen this than the ground beneath him turns into sand and that attempts to swallow him whole. He is unable to counter swiftly enough and the sand succeeds in dragging him down. Sing, now trapped under lots of sand holds his breath temporarily as he tries to figure a way out of his dilemma. In order to the prevent the sand from drowning him further Sing channels his paw's chakra around him and begins to absorb the force around him. Just then Gaara slams his hand on the ground to attempt causing the sand to crush Sing however this force is also absorbed by Sing's technique.
Immediately Sing feels the force around him dissipate he creates a lightning vortex around him shaped as a dragon. The dragon, upon its creation blows most of the sand surrounding Sing away but leaves him standing in a barren crater after the nigh weightless sand has been blown away.
