Obviously you never said that, you're implying it. When you say you have low expectations you're saying you think it's going to be crap.

Bleach ratings were gradually dropping before and during those arcs, so obviously the arcs were not as good as they could have been. But this is a new start for Bleach, Kubo even took time off to do some extra research. You can't compare a ruined storyline with one that's only starting right now.
You are wrong. Having low expectations for something doesn't mean it will be crap. It means that it will not be great as it is supposed to be.

But, that "ruined storyline" is still apart of Bleach. If somebody new starts to watch bleach they will have to go through that storyline to understand this one.

Nope. Having low expectations is exactly the same as saying something will be crap. In the world of manga, there can be crap, mediocre or great. Even being mediocre is useless so it's either crap or great. Bleach is obviously not on the great side right now, but if Kubo was really going to go do nothing about Bleach in the final arc he could have easily ended it right after Aizen.

Also if I'm new I can read from the current arc skipping the rest because really, the arcs before this one pretty much revolves around Aizen and he is out of the picture right now and nothing related to Aizen has appeared. So it's practically impossible to get confused. Nothing in the current arc calls for a new reader to go back in time.

Lol, then the person will not know how Ichigo got his powers or how shinigami destroyed quinicies. Don't forget Aizen will be in this arc. They have to know who hollow ichigo is. I can name lots of more stuff they will be missing.

Firstly, they don't need to know how Ichigo got his powers. So what if Ichigo is human and can suddenly turn into a shinigami lmao. Nothing is really surprising about that.

Next what do you mean by shinigami destroy quincies? Right now it's the quincy attacking Soul Society and I doubt the Quincy king guy is attacking SS because the shinigami "supposedly" eradicated them. There's obviously another reason behind that Quincy's motives. It's not as simple as revenge.

Who or better yet what says Aizen "will" be in this arc? Even if he comes back new readers don't need to know what he has done. It's not like Aizen's previous plans to create the king's key has something to do with Quincy. I highly doubt Aizen and the Quincy would work together, in fact there is a higher chance of Aizen working with SS for a period of time to subdue the Quincy.

Why do new readers need to know who Hollow Ichigo is? Hollow Ichigo was never evil, his motives were to help Ichigo get stronger, so I don't see how a re-appearance of Hollow Ichigo would be so surprising. I could say if he appears again it would be to help Ichigo.

If new fans just skip all that then that would be an insult to Kubo. He spent years writing all that up until now. It's apart of Bleach, you can't just skip it.
Kubo worked hard to get here and true fans will start from the begining.

In the begining of the manga/anime it was stated that the shinigami exterminated the qunicies. The only ones left were Uryu and his dad.

That's not true. Just because Ishida, Ryuken, (and you forgot Ishida's grandfather) were the only survivors we (the viewers) knew of doesn't mean there couldn't have been others.

It makes little sense to make that assumption because first of all it isn't explicitly stated. And second, Ishida's grandfather was a descendant of the Quincys. He wasn't a direct survivor of the genocide itself (obviously because he can't possible be that old). If he was a descendant then it means there were other survivors in their lineage. Likewise, it makes little sense to say Ishida's bloodline is the only surviving family. If they survived, then odds are there were others as well.

As for the rest of lubrication's reply, you're not getting the point. The point is that the Soul Society Arc and the Arrancar Arc have nothing to do with the current one. The SS and Arrancar arc were bridged because Aizen was the mastermind behind both of them. This final arc on the other hand has nothing to do with the events of the past two arcs. It's a fresh start with a new story. That's what he's saying.

Viewers will need little background to understand this new arc, and none of what they need to know lies in either the SS or Arrancar arc

An insult? So how about the new generation of kids that watch Pokemon from the current seasons. Is that an insult to the creator because they didn't read/watch the original seasons? Sure they wouldn't know where exactly Pikachu came from but who cares.

Oh and just because it's stated it doesn't mean it's true. If you believe everything written in a manga then how do you suppose the writer is going to create suspense?
