[Question] was madara a close relative of sasuke and itachi?

i know there is no evidence of this in the manga but does any of you know if there is any indication to that matter?

this is not an attempt to trolling the forum. i know they are both uchihas. but it was a big clan.

but once upon a time there was a lot of uchiha in the clan. and the ones we ve seen except for sasuke's family all looked like regular konoha folk.

but madara and izuna looks exactly like sasuke physically. especially madara's childhood. i'm thinking something along the lines of grandpas grandpa.

are there any indication of them having kids?

There's literally no way of telling how closely related they were or even what exactly their relations to each other were. The only thing we know is that Sasuke/Itachi and Obito are descendants of Madara.

well apart from being evil i think he could ve banged anybody he wanted. the evidence therein lies in sasuke.

I thought about makin a thread about that. Madara did say he had brothers but some died, we don't know if they were older but lets assume they are. If Madara's older brother had a child i assume that uchiha would be Kagami. He was around Sarutobi age so it could be possible he had a child, but that's unknown . Since we don't know Sasuke em grandfather. But if Sasuke & Madara are related I assume he'll be there great uncle.

i was thinking about this before tobi turned out to be obito and heard naruto's birthplace from kakashi. now i think it was something about that coup stuff. they probably had a clan meeting. because otherwise they wouldnt have left sasuke and itachi alone.

I don't think there is any direct relation between them other than ancestor for the time difference , Madara lived years and years ago so it's hard to tell if he was directly related or not and even if they were it doesn't really matter at this point since they are the last uchiha standing

To be honest there isn't any solid proof if Madara is closely related to Sasuke and Itachi, however if you recall, Madara was the leader of the Uchiha clan. Tobi said that after Madara and Izuna gained MS their took control of the Uchiha clan, he didn't specify if it was their inherited right. It is unknown how the leader of the Uchiha clan is officially chosen, however Fugaku the former and last official leader of the Uchiha clan was ready to pronounce his eldest son Itachi to be the next leader. From this is can be assumed that the Uchiha clan leader can either choose who he would like to succeed him or it could be restricted to a certain household (similar to Hyuga Main branch). If the leader of the Uchiha clan is restricted or commonly chosen within a certain household, Madara could be a direct ansestor of Sasuke and Itachi.

I think that going off what we know as a fact I would say that they would be second or third cousins. The reason I say this is that I have never seen in the manga that Madara ever had any children and as far as we know all of his brothers were killed. That only leaves his cousins or himself to have decendants.
