Now if we do not want a CJ can we drop it completely and not use it, however still keep it in the CJ thread but without the numbers? That way we do not lose the CJ but able to change back and forth to be able to use it when we want to use it?

For example:

say I have 71 CJ's but i listed 70 and the other one is just sitting in the CJ thread and not in use, until I switch it with another CJ when I want to use it.

Or could keep the CJ's that we want to drop on a different thread until we want to use it again?

Sound confusing? Let me know and I will elaborate.

If I am correct, You can only have about 70 customs and that doesn't include the 10 extra you get when you complete your Sage Mission Test given by Rei when you reach Sage in posts.

That also doesn't include Jutsus that are tied to a summon/contract.

So my thought is once you reach that exact maximum you straight up lose it. I have heard it is a difficult process to drop customs. >_>

What are you talking about?

You are allowed to have 35 Custom Techniques of your own. These don't include fighting styles, summoning contracts or custom elements and custom elements techniques.

The 70 custom jutsu overall limit was dropped due to my petition. You can have as many cj's as you like but can only have 35 of your own. Also, you can't drop your own cj that You Create. You can learn as many cj's as you want tho.

I'm reopening this because Yard's reply isn't complete.

You can make 35 techniques + (10 animal summons x 2 contracts) + (12x2 custom element techniques of your own).

This is the top number you can have of things you solely create.

Now, as for droppings it depends. As of now, we still haven't found a way to effectively control and regulate it which makes it a mess to allow freely. You can, however, update your techniques and you can drop CW's to make new ones.

However, once you drop something, you lose all the rights to it. Someone else can simply copy it, submit it and its possible to get approved. As you can see, this brings a painfull headache to us CJ mods as if everyone starts doing this then it becomes a mess.

One other thing we don't want people to do is to submit CJs just because they can, having the knowledge that if they don't like it, they can drop it and submitt something else. That is a waste of our time. Why would we keep checking cjs, taking tons of time off our backs, if you're just going to drop them later one for something else? When you make a CJ you should already bare in mind if it will be usefull to have in the long run or if you'll eventually not use it. Thats why Cjs of the basic 5 elements, nin and gen are the most usefull as they'll be usefull forever in any bio you have, while KG cjs will eventually become useless if you drop said kg bio. But that is a choice the members must do when making a bio and when making customs.

For now, you can only update techniques and drop CW's for another CW's. But, we haven't yet discarted the possibility of dropping cjs altogether. It just has to be worked in a way that makes it balanced and regulated.
