Question about Orochimaru hands..

Ok... Im real confused

In Naruto Part 1. He had his hands sealed away and most of him being seeing in Naruto part 1 his hands werent useful

In Shippuden his hands were able to be used again.. like we seen plenty of instances.. yet he wanted his hands back from the reapers stomach... can somebody explain cause it seems he still wasnt able to use his hands? That always confused me

The soul of his original arms were sealed. He was merely using the arms of that fodders body he took. Because they were not his real arms, he could not preform complex ninjutsu, just basic crap.
