I posted this in another thread but I doubt I'll get my answer:

Why is that when a straight guy starts to like men later on in life people say that he discovered he was bi and not that he became bi, even though he was disgusted by men before?

Seriously, I always see people say that one discovers they are bi but I believe that the lust for either gender can be developed but none can be erased, only suppressed.

You see this case a lot with women when they give up on men.

EDIT: I just couldn't find the term until I was 12. People tend to get confused due to the lack of education about this topic but now snce it's getting more attention kids are figuring out the sexuality.

simple if a guy was straight he just transformed himself bi/gay because his preference changed for some disgusting reason. no one was born gay/bi irt is just the path they choose because of some sort of influence

Well, saying someone turned bi is like saying they weren't bi from the beginning. Saying someone discovered that they were bi means it was pretty much always there.

Pretty much. Although I don't think it's that simple. I don't really think people are born with their sexuality nor do I believe that it's a conscious decision. I believe that's its influenced by multiple factors in a persons life.

I don't know what you're saying . Probably because they were bi all along but suppressed the urge to be attracted to the same *** to fit in societal views of what they think is "moral" or correct.

It was never not there, it was just subconciously repressed or consciously denied. You don't become any orientation, you're whoever from birth. It's just that some people take longer to discover who they are, or deny its existence.
