Grey suddenly woke up from a voice behind him, his hand already halfway to forming a seal out of habit. He turned around, catching his breath and laying his eyes on the masked individual that had sat on a boulder. Grey faced forward again, rubbing his sleepy eyes.[Coming From Here]
C4 (clone of Akira) arrived in these lands making his way towards where the gates were to leave, though something caught his attention. Through his sensory, he could feel one of considerable strength within these lands. Not the normal craftsmen. He knew it was human as he wasn't capable of sensing the energy that the demons controlled. No, this was surely someone of interest. Yet who could it be.
He made his way in the direction of the power he felt though decided to approach indirectly. Climbing to the top of the valley, he sat looking down on the one below. He seemed confident enough to sleep here undefended. Not only that, but he didn't seem to fear the presence of the divine power within these lands. Well, there was only one thing to do.
Using his high speed and nimble agility, Akira (c4) made his way down the valley until he reached a bolder nearby behind the stranger. He sat upon the boulder peering through his mask and hood at the young one.
"What brings one such as yourself to lands such as these?" he questioned announcing his arrival.
It would seem as though he'd startled this one before him. Clearly tired. Clearly didn't expect to be found like this. They were trying to put on a front but it didn't serve them in the way they wanted.Grey suddenly woke up from a voice behind him, his hand already halfway to forming a seal out of habit. He turned around, catching his breath and laying his eyes on the masked individual that had sat on a boulder. Grey faced forward again, rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"Agh… great. Knew I should’ve put up a damn camp instead of passing out like an idiot," he muttered under his breath. He stood to his feet and faced the man, not trying to hide the fact he was sizing him up. He was sitting almost casually, his stance not threatening. His gaze lingered on the mask a moment longer than necessary.
"What brings me here?" he asked, rather annoyed. "Could ask you the same thing. You always watch people sleep, or am I just special today?"
Grey tried to portray a calm demeanour but was ready to move if he had to, but not attacking yet.
Grey raised an eyebrow. His defensiveness was slowly shifting to curiosity. It would seem as though he'd startled this one before him. Clearly tired. Clearly didn't expect to be found like this. They were trying to put on a front but it didn't serve them in the way they wanted.
"I could say you're special, but I don't think we'd be portraying the same meaning," he jested smiling under his mask. "You stand out with your chakra like a fire in the night. I only seek to find those with merit in a world of peril. Especially those that seek refuge in a land such as these."
Grey raised an eyebrow. His defensiveness was slowly shifting to curiosity.
“Seeking people with merit in a place like this… you make it sound like there’s some grand plan behind all this. What are you really after?"
Was this man still half asleep? He had no clue what was really happening in the world. He would of been an easy slaughter. It would seem as though Akira had truly overestimated the one before him.
"Clearly I've made a mistake. Someone as lost as you, both physically and mentally, have nothing of worth to offer to my cause. No, if anything you would merely be a hindrance." Akira spoke as though he was making observations.
He rose to his feet turning to leave feeling he was wasting his time.
Grey’s jaw clenched. He was no longer sleepy, but rather angry.
“Nothing of worth…?”
As the man turned, Grey thrust his hand out, cold surging through the air. Spears of ice erupted from the ground in a ring around the masked man, close enough to brush his clothes, but not a single one touching him.
Grey stepped forward, eyes sharp.
“You don’t get to just show up, talk down to me like I’m some lost kid, and walk off like that,” he snapped. “Now. Who are you? And why are you here?"

Grey didn't even flinch at the sight of the fancy eyes. He took a step closer, meeting that Rinnegan without looking away. He waved his hand and the ice crumbled beneath the man's feet. His words meant nothing, his actions spoke volumes. He really thought such a tactic would change the result of what was to come? Akira had a lot of patience, yet little time for empty threats from a peasant so far beneath them. To think they had the audacity to believe they had any say in the outcome of this situation. That someone as weak as them could question someone so far above their station.
Akira turned enough to show his foe the rinnegan through his mask as he spoke to the boy. "I'm the one who will end your pathetic life if you try something like that again." He spoke with spite in his voice. "A pathetic excuse for a shinobi like you has no right to ask anything of me." He let his harsh words hang in the air. "Maybe if you could control your attitude, temper and whole demeanor, you might have some worth in the grand scheme of things. As it stands right now, you'd just be a pig headed fool who can't rationalise their own thoughts for a moment. The fact you don't see the danger that stands before you now.... "
What a joke. How could they even think they stood a chance? Either they knew nothing of his visual prowess or they had no sense of reality when it came to it all.Grey didn't even flinch at the sight of the fancy eyes. He took a step closer, meeting that Rinnegan without looking away. He waved his hand and the ice crumbled beneath the man's feet.
"You think I give a damn about my life?” he said coldly. “Think again. So either kill me, leave, or finally tell me what the **** you actually want from me.”
Grey watched him go and thought: "Phew... dodged a bullet there." He then turned around as well and left. What a joke. How could they even think they stood a chance? Either they knew nothing of his visual prowess or they had no sense of reality when it came to it all.
“Kill you? Ha! What a comedian you are. No, I don’t think I’ll waste my time or minimal effort on a bug like you. Clearly you’re not what I expected. What use would I have for one with no care for his own life or one that knows not what danger lies before him?” Akira mused. “Your tone is unruly, you cluelessness unbearable and how could I ever rely on someone so ready to die?”
What a true waste. He turned again and hopped off the boulder walking away.
The clone remained near the gates now, waiting. He was hoping that now he wasn't hiding his chakra, one of those would take note of them. Time would tell.
Mission Start:Solanaceae Interaction

The Moon Gate; a robust fortress of its own that has the potential to house the bastion of Solanaceae's Vanguard that serves to protect the primary point of land entry to the Nation of Stars. The structure was vast with a courtyard that surrounded the exterior and interior sides, complete with a plethora of decorative architecture that suited the overall aesthetic of Solanaceae. Scattered throughout the courtyards was an immense variety of Arali and Humans alike; each presumably visitors, if not outright residents of the Empire that hovered around the Gates in a way that suggested a welcoming atmosphere that belied the otherwise intimidating scale and presence of the towering wall that stretched both West and East in length that could not be traced with the naked eye beyond the horizon. Above all else, was a central rotunda that extended into a robust ivory tower that sat as an extension to the Moon Gate itself, connected via a sky bridge that careened down from the mid-section of the construct into the top of the Gate.
While the presence of bodies were notable scattered all throughout the surrounding region of the Gate amid its courtyards, all basking in their daily bliss that was undisturbed amid the peace that was brought by the divine Goddess of Wisdom, one curious observation could be made for any who may have lingered much longer than a few moments and had an inquisitive gaze: There was seemingly zero militarized presence anywhere amid the loosely spotted crowds. There were no guards stationed at the Gates themselves, none making paces along the pathways in any form of patrol, nor any arranged overhead among the ramparts of the Gate or its neighboring walls. What could possibly instill such peace and serenity and not be challenged in such a blatant lack of proper security measures that one might see anywhere else?
As if to spite this known characteristic in the face of the moment it was recognized, someone could be seen rushing toward the Gate from the outer path that led inland toward the center of the Gate's entrance. They appeared.. distressed, more than they appeared any form of excitable or even threatening. In tattered rags for clothing that were once whole, instead were now blanketed in a ferocious collection of cuts, scrapes and tears that all resembled the onslaught of what could only be identified as an attack made by some wild beast, or perhaps a flurry of blades..
The estranged man, heavy of breath, caught the attention of several bystanders as he flocked passed each in an effort to position himself through the Gates, all the while mumbling through hungry gasps for breath "p-Please.. h-Help. p-Please.. h-Help." The eerie rattle of his words carried him desperately closer and closer to the Gate. While his form seemed difficult to discern amid his panicked pace, a few characteristics were easily identified: The tattered cloak he wore seemed less intended to stave off the elements, but rather to shroud that to which was underneath. Crimson-brown stains could be seen all along his attire, yet no visible injuries could be seen without further investigation. Yet with every step the man took, his right hand held tightly clenched to his chest, gripping hold of the shabby cloak as if in an effort to sustain its position around his person, while the other remained desperately tucked beneath the cloak. Little could be identified of his overall figure, aside from a greyish paleness that clung to what little of his skin could be seen..
As the man finally approached the Gate and was ready to pass through it in anxious eagerness, he was abruptly and violently rejected, tossed backward in a force that belied any visible interjection that would have prevented him from moving forward through an entryway that mere moments prior to his appearance, so many others hand come and gone freely, and without obstruction. The instant in which he was tossed aside, a sudden spark of heat could be felt to the air; a tingle like an electric charge that suggested a force of energy had washed over the very atmosphere surrounding the Gate. The man's body skid across the cobble-paved road, his lungs incapable of exasperating any cry of agony or surprise from the sudden punishment he had received. Despite his situation, his hand remained firmly clenched against his cloak, all the while bringing his once hidden left hand out just enough to grip hold of the tip of the cloak's hood, yanking it down with rabid haste, desperate to keep his visage away from prying eyes..
Both disgruntled and bewildered, the man gave little more than a moment of ponder before he stood back up and attempted to approach the Gate once more. This time, while his rejection was still true, he was not tossed aside, but instead met with a force that responded to his very presence like that of a rejecting polarity between two opposing magnetized states; a force so dense that he could press his head against it in an effort to prop his exhausted husk of a body against it. In doing so, he shifted his gaze, one that was both bloodshot and violently jaundice, in all directions as if seeking someone -anyone- that he could spot that may be of importance. In doing so, his attention found the mark of a nearby figure, cloaked and shrouded similarly to himself..

"y-You there.. Stranger.. Please, what love for Gods or Humanity you may have.. please.. h-Help me.." The man's voice carried with it like a croak, rumbling in a bizarre combination of both sharply dry, and sickeningly moist, as if an illness were ever present within his very throat that needed pried out. As his head pressed fervently against the repelling force, a crimson fluid seemed to begin trickling down his visage as his hood was pushed backward from his awkward posture. Ever so slightly the light would reflect across his pale, scaling, puss-riddled.. fungus? His very face was deformed and giving way to cracks in his flesh that was instead nesting what could only be identified as a variety of fungal masses that were sprouting from his very skin. Some were dormant and shriveled, as if like scabs awaiting to flake off on their own, while others almost seemed as if they were breathing.. Eagerly growing ever so steadily as it seemed to feast upon he who was its host.
All the while that this scene took place, several of the bystanders who previously lingered in the Courtyards undisturbed now rushed to clear the scene out of concern for what may come of this man's presence, as if knowing full well what may come next and trained to diligently make way for such an outcome. While the man leaned into the ever rejecting force, others were able to pass freely through the Gate, undisturbed by anything similar to what he seemed to fight against, suggesting that no mere forcefield was at play that took effect the moment the man appeared or attempted to pass, but instead one that somehow knew how to identify some characteristic about this individual, and had every intention to prevent him from entering the safety of the Empire in front of him..
