Why are people trolling this man's thread. He's confident in that he believes Tobi is Izuna. We all have our opinions...

I've had enough of all this tomfoolery, time to end this debate...

We'll start off by starting with the Rinnegan. It has been established that the Rinnegan is the final form/evolution of the Sharingan and that ONLY Madara has unlocked it - post hashirama fight. He died later on in the future (this isn't really pivotal so i'll keep it vague).

Now, Nagato had the Rinnegan but he never had the Sharingan and surely didn't have enough time, nor the sibling to create the mangekyou/EMS so it's safe to assume it was transplanted but not by Madara, no no... The original bearer of Madara's light. You see, Madara's Rinnegan eyes weren't his own, they were Izuna's and so the Rinnegan rightfully belonged to him and thus were taken from Madara and given to Nagato in order to sync himself with Gedo Mazo and once again revive Madara once the Jinchuuriki were all captured (thanks to the Akatsuki) but that failed since Nagato died and Gedo Mazo needed a new host to sync with - Sasuke Uchiha, who is nearly reached the stage to unlock the Rinnegan and fall into Tobi's trap.

Tobi did say that he wanted to use Gedo Mazo for himself but that doesn't entirely mean he wanted to use it literally for himself but for his own wishes... Tobi being Izuna perfectly explains the correlation between him, madara, the rinnegan and Nagato, also some other bits like why he used Madara's war fan and possessed Hashirama's cells.

Admittedly, there are a few problems; i.e, why he says he is a shell of his former self, or something along those lines but I believe, that Madara and Izuna kept a close relationship until the time of his departure and also explains why they share the same idea of an infinite tsukiyomi.

Once thing I'm struggling to make a connection is, If Tobi used Nagato to revive Madara, then how does Madara know Nagato... Unless Madara knew he was going to die and used Nagato to revive him in a near-perfect form, much like a second life...

i think its izuna aswell. Other than the hints in the manga its great way to make the tobi character have a back story so we can actually not lose intrest in the manga after the war. I made a theory that goes into every single info we have about tobi and Izuna, worth a look if u can be bothered reading it.

Although I dont might Tobi being an even older figure from before madara and hasihrama's time. As that would literally add another saga to the manga more or less if they indrouce an eintire new character who was the villain of the story the whole time. SOmeone like the so6p's older son, something outragoues like that etc..O.O


Also we dont know for sure the rinnegan can come from the sharingan. Untill we understand why he took hasihrama's cells, although we know you need both the sharingan and hasihrama dna for izanagi.

Also one other problem with the rinnegan possibkle to be obtained from the sharingan. Which in my opinion kills this idea complety.

The older son of the sage apparatly got his fathers eyes, but they werent the rinnegan some mutated version. Then the sharingan from the uchiha looks nothing like the sage's older son which is the fountations of the uchiha clan.

So if the uchiha at best can only gain the so6p's older son's eyes then how can they get the rinnegan if the sage's older son didnt get? Well u cant, so hasihrama's dna must have something to do with it like the sage's older son didnt have what the sage's younger son had.

Izuna was shown dead in a coffin. If he turned out to be alive, to show him as dead would be misleading. Kishi will not resort to such cheating. Izuna was a legendary ninja himself. He did not need to use madara's name.
