its the real world. Its how I need to live, I need to keep thinking people will change

I have your frame of mind tbh. I have grown slightly more bitter in my later years, with the many betrayals in my own life (people abusing my kindness and trust) and around me, but if anyone is redeemable at all, I will forgive them, and as long as there is good-hearted people making even the tiniest difference, there is truly hope for humanity, and I will never give up.

are you a sociologists by any chance?

lol no. I'm just a kid. Well, not technically. But most people probably wouldn't consider me an adult at this age. I can't be sure though. I don't see (m)any people. And I like thinking about things. Probably too much. It's really the only thing I do. Aside from this. Holy **** that's depressing. hahaha

I know it is but I wanted the best for humanity and I feel thinking like this and moving forward is

While I agree to some extent usually criminals learn how to be better criminals in jail. The philosophy of an eye for an eye is for the criminal to understand the victim.

Which is a better lesson in my opinion.

Not every criminal can be reformed that is for sure, but bringing pain onto them would only make them angry and more resistant to change. It could also psychologically impair them that there would be nothing left to save.

I watched a documentary about a Russain prison called "Black Dolphin" before. It is so terrifying that the prisoners commented on how they'd rather be dead.

The prisoner's moves were always monitored 24/7. They were only able to communicate with one other individual(their cellmate) for there was no mess hall to go to. They ate, slept, and went to the bathroom in their cells.

Albeit there was no offer to counseling, but the prison was effective without any need of violence(at least none that was shown).

The fear of pain is greater than the pain itself. The complete restriction of freedom is a very harsh punishment that would make anyone think twice about committing another crime.

I used to be very bitter thats why I am so sensitive to them because I know how bad this world is, and its those who cannot forgive that make it like that

Are you serious, if someone raped your child and after truly felt bad for it, you would forgive them. Damn. I would murder the son of a *****

Mentally disturbed cannot help it, it's the ones that do it on purpose and will always do it that deserve jail and no forgiveness.

And that is why you have this naive view of the world. I wont say that the world has no salvation, but humanity has a very dark side to them, sometimes even perverse. No amount of speaking and understanding can change a person who does not want to change. You cannot bend their will, at the greatest you can achieve nothing but lip service that will only help you believe that the person has change, in the end its only a one-way service to make you feel good. They will not change, they dont have the capability to change. Change is a rare occurrence that can be considered a miracle to some degree. Remember this, every person is a world, you the individual under those circumstances can't change that.

I observe a lot of people though. And I talk to a lot of people. I haven't been proven wrong yet.

I think that's probably too altruistic. Things would get a lot worse before they got even marginally better (possibly never) if the world were run that way.

What makes you give them the excuse of being mentally distrubed

If it's confirmed by a doctor. If they are not right, never sought help or no one ever helped them, they can possibly be redeemed. Those that do it to look cool, score points in school (I've seen enough stories to know rape is considered peer pressure in some places), they know what they are doing, they want to do it and they enjoy it. They will most likely not regret it or change. Either way tho if you've done it once, you can do it again, so they should never be released from prison.

Exactly. I used to be very optimistic and innocent as a teen. But after dating my first ex, I realized just how cruel and messed up the world really is lol

I observe a lot of people though. And I talk to a lot of people. I haven't been proven wrong yet.

That's because you won't accept that you're wrong just like those criminals won't accept that their actions were wrong either.

Not everyone is subject to change from talking, believe me.

I'm inarticulate. And I don't want to do it that way. It feels wrong.
Then how can anyone possibly understand? Lemme relate to this topic personally:

I am a very lazy person (actually lazy, not like how everyone says they are), and I'm in my last year of high school. Every year, I told myself I'd do better. Every year, I would always get shit grades, and feel COMPLETE shit about it, to the point of contemplating suicide (I know sounds dumb). I promised myself I would work hard this year, however I'm doing the exact opposite, and my grades have never been worse. As we speak I'm procrastinating on a presentation due tomorrow morning. I don't know why I procrastinate, but I can't even find the reason myself. My point is people often do things without ever understanding why themselves, this even includes things like rape, so how can we possibly understand why people do things when they probably don't know themselves?

How would you know? If my theory(?) fails, I will adjust accordingly. There is no reason for me to continue to believe in something that I know to be flawed.

Then you're a fool. Human's are flawed in nature and so it is not possible to create a perfect method.

What could be considered a masterpiece by one will be known as a tragedy by another. Some things just don't apply to all individuals, just like your theory.
