They won't lie. And it wouldn't be very difficult to tell if they did.

But then that would just be revenge. Everyone wants revenge, but what separates us from the criminals are our methods.

If we follow the philosophy "an eye for an eye" or do something to them that's worse than the crimes they committed, then we are no better than they are.

That would just prove that we get satisfaction from their suffering as much as they do from their victims.

While I agree to some extent usually criminals learn how to be better criminals in jail. The philosophy of an eye for an eye is for the criminal to understand the victim.

Which is a better lesson in my opinion.
