I agree with a lot of this.

People should be allowed to decide what goes on in their own business just like their own home. How the hell can the government justify telling someone if they can let people smoke in their restaurant or not?

Federal government should have as little authority as possible. The people of individual states would end up much happier that way.
It stresses too many people out when we start trying to tell each other how to live. Even within my own state, we have enough problems with it. People in the cities vote for stupid bills that do things they don't understand (probably because they've only seen trees on TV). It breaks the economy for those of us in rural and/or suburban areas, so we have to not sell cattle to the slaughter house and send the price of beef to the moon before our issues enter into their little bubble of ignorance.

When you get people in New York doing the same damned thing, making it next to impossible for you to live - it's enough to make you wonder if there's not a better use for the fertilizer you're dumping into the ground. And that's just a recipie for bad things.

Oh dear God. I just realized. Every shitbag in the military that doesn't want to live in the barracks anymore can get a contract marriage with another dude and collect BAH.
And then two or three couples can shack up in the same house, splitting the rent/mortgage.

With property the way it is in Kansas (probably not too much different from what it is here in Missouri), you could bank on that pretty decently.

BAH isn't stupidly high like it is along the coast (California is insane), but cost of living is also about half of what it is along the coast, too.

The whole idea of an inheritance tax is offensive to me. My loved ones shouldn't have to pay a dime for anything I worked hard to acquire while I was alive. That is my property and I should be allowed to give it to whomever I want regardless of whether I'm alive or dead.
I agree whole-heartedly.

I would actually argue that it's unconstitutional (even under the... 24th amendment? 26th? The one used to justify direct income taxation by the feds?) because it qualifies as double-taxation. The money was taxed before it was used to build an estate. It should, therefor, not be taxed upon the transfer of estate following death.

Polygamy should be legal as well among consenting adults. All pensions, benefits, etc should be divided and passed on among the surviving spouses.
I agree, too.

Not sure it's for me - but I can already see CARE and the ACLU lining up to start hammering on how muslim immigrants are discriminated against because our system doesn't work with a husband having multiple wives.

Head that nonsense off before it draws a media shit-storm.

Stop preaching because I guarantee you committed the Sin of Onan three times today to a picture of some anime character and tentacles.
Facebook Evangelicals. Gotta love 'em. Get caught sleeping with the mailman, and before the end of the week, Jesus is working miracles in their life and they're telling all their friends.

Tentacles really aren't necessary for me, though. Not quite sure what the attraction is to that. Makes for some interesting cosplay, though.

Meh. You can't start blowing shit up just because most jerk offs don't do research into who they're voting for or because most politicians make under the table deals on voting on legislation in exchange for money or another political agenda getting furthered.

Bro I'm from Kansas. I live outside of Ft. Bragg N.C. I know all about BAH and in Fayetteville it ain't high. At least not high enough to get a house or apartment that won't get broken into. At least smokes are cheap in N.C.

Common sense wise it should be. Income tax, sales tax, and property tax have all come out already. This is just the government picking our corpses clean.

Problem with that one is gonna be the feminists and the die hard non Mormon Christians. They won't see it as anything more than men trying to own women even though any law would obviously have to apply to both sexes and the die hard Christians would use the same argument they do against gay marriage.

Not really. I grew up with the Westboro Baptist Church protesting at my schools. I've acquired quite a distaste for in your face Christians.

I don't get it. Japan is on some other shit when it comes to sexuality. Makes me shiver to think what kind of horrific acts my ancestors have done to conceive children.

Then they need to not insist I fall under their legal jurisdiction.

Blowing things up is quite unnecessary at this point, but it's a frustrating affair.

For example - this immigration bill... under the "Affordable Healthcare Act" - 'formerly illegal' immigrants would not need to be given healthcare and companies not have to pay fines for failing to provide healthcare to illegal immigrants.

People are giving the government way too much authority and it represents a conflict of interest when they elect people who say: "we are going to use government to provide you with the things you want."

Honestly, I pray every day for the zombie apocalypse. At least I could shoot those brain-dead beings without being seen as the problem.

Oooh... Yeah. You probably have to go 20+ miles off base to get to some reasonable renting spaces. I'm used to areas around Fort Lost in the Woods and Whiteman AFB. Worst you have to worry about is wanna-be gangster teens. The meth addicts usually only cause a problem when you interact with them.

Kansas City, on the other hand.... we've had some guys from Chicago talk all kinds of shit... until we drove through some of the rougher spots, and they started shrieking at us to get the hell out of there.

Common sense wise it should be. Income tax, sales tax, and property tax have all come out already. This is just the government picking our corpses clean.
I've honestly been looking at other countries to try and raise a family in. This one is headed for civil war or some kind of Orwellian nightmare.

I thought my dad was exaggerating, years ago, when I talked about a friend I'd met from Australia and he told me: "Get out while you still can."

This was back in 2004. He saw it coming since the 60s; in one of his economics classes at UMR (now MIST), they had solidly predicted that the U.S. and Soviet Union would invert their internal economic policies.

But at this rate... there's nowhere to go.... spare for Russia, maybe. Even then - that's not exactly a 'good' idea - too much of the former KGB still reigns over there for my liking. The irony that I'm considering leaving the U.S. for someplace like Russia because of government intervention is just too much to be processed at this point in time. Plus - I really need to make sure I know as much as I think I do about the political situation over there.

Zombie Apocalypse. I pray for it all the time. May the mindless masses assume their true form.

I think that's going to become my new 'canned response' for issues that instill me with such hatred and malice that I want to glare so intensely in one spot that it creates a universe-destroying black hole. There isn't enough mass in the universe to create an explosion powerful enough to express how absolutely livid I am with people. There isn't a level of Super Saiyan high enough to express the rage.

I was just being silly. You know how people on Facebook like to run the whole "Jesus" routine when they are the type of person who gets caught cheating every other month. That type of person. They get caught with their hand in the cookie jar, and all of a sudden Jesus is changing their life for the better... if you believe them, that is.

I don't get it. Japan is on some other shit when it comes to sexuality. Makes me shiver to think what kind of horrific acts my ancestors have done to conceive children.
Well, the Chinese were known to use the inside of a girl's "lotus foot" for erotic purposes as necrosis took over. Honestly, I can't even imagine myself being raised in that culture. Surely, my mind would question the practice and probably take to a servant/farm girl whose feet hadn't been bound...

But that assumes I'm not a peasant, myself, and being ushered off into some war to die while the local noble/lord goes around impregnating everything he can find.

... Actually, on second thought - I'd probably end up being one of the regional war lords causing problems for the nobles. I've too active and predatory of a mind to be a peasant. Without video-games and other hollow pursuits of accomplishment to distract me, I'd probably end up causing quite the headache for people who managed to piss me off.

Until they got tired of dealing with me and just accepted the attrition to be rid of me.

Unfortunately I love this country too much to immigrate somewhere else. I believe too much in instigating change and defending my beliefs to just walk away. Not gonna lie I would roll down to Texas with my wife and kids if they ever break off though.

This country needs to get invaded to remind people of what our founding fathers actually meant when they wrote the constitution. Shit. Let me play insurgent. If I can get the drop on a platoon playing OP 4 and steal their Humvee I think I could pull some pretty messed up stuff on the enemy. That would shut everyone up about assault weapons and let me live out every Red Dawn fantasy I've ever had since I was eight.

lol. Downtown KC ain't that bad. Fayettenam is worse. I have to drive thirty minutes into the middle of butt**** nowhere woods with no phone service to get to the little golf course community I pay $300 over BAH for but screw it.
