chapter begins here
previously: chris is shot in the stomach by a bunch of gang members in the process a girl was killed. chris makes it his mission to kill them. he meets alex mercer who reveals his plans for a new human race. chris accepts his power. chris wakes up in morgue and escapes. however he is followed by police and is shot alex mercer's intervention leads to the death of the entire officers there.
*chapter here*
chris watches alex mercer jump over a small building. he begins to walk aimlessly. he has no idea where he is from and rememebers only the night that his hell begin. the girl who was she he thought. he rounds a corner and discovers 3 boys simular to the ones that had "killed him".
gangster 1 yeah man.
gangster 2 i know right that little kid is dead now HA! (he says in upbeat tone)
gangster leader the priceless look on his face when we pulled the trigger on the girl. dog that was some sick shit! (he yells out loud)
*flash back 4 days before the incident*
chris listen clair i love you i would let nothing happen to you! (he says in a upbeat tone)
the young girl moves toward the boy. they share a short kiss and he holds her tight.
chris clair vasquez... your a special women (he says lovingly)
clair i love you too (she says in a loving tone)
(end of flashback)
chris holds his head screaming in pain. the words the man spoke sends his brain into over drive. the man look toward his location. but it is to late chris is mired in bloodlust and charges.
chris YOU BASTARDS! (he screams)
one of the man is tackled to the ground. his bone from his wrist jouts out of his hand. he screams in agony and begs for someone to help him. chris on instinct drives a hand throught the mans chest. he pulls out the mans heart and feels it throbe. hundreds of tiny tendrils crawl across chris's arm and go into the man. the tendrils convert the man into a liquid to which goes into chris. chris absorbs his body. he looks up at the other two they are alreay running. alex mercer watches from afar.
gangster leader ice this sucker! (he shouts)
they open fire and shoot holes across chris's body. they begin to heal and chris picks up a cinder block and hurls it at a mans head. the head is ripped clean off and chris runs over and sinks his fists down inside the body and begins to absorb it.
gangster leader the **** are you! (he shouts)
alex jumps from behind and he holds him in a head lock. chris looks at him and remembers he is the one who killed clair
alex mercer he is a DEUS EX MACHINA! A COMING OF A NEW AGE OF HUMANS! (he shouts)
chris charges them both and alex pushes the man and chris catches him. he pulls him to the ground and proceeds to beat the mans face off. he then sends tendrils out his back and they absorb the life body of the man. the mans memerioes flood chris's head.
alex mercer let it flow through you new breed let it flow (he says softly)
chris lets go and lets the memories sink in. he and clair where targeted for assassination. chris looks at alex mercer. he looks ready to fight him when a platoon of soldiers arrive.
chris ho-lly shit (he says in fear)
alex mercer do you want to live and find out who set you up? (he asks curiously)
chris yes.. (he says silently)
alex mercer We surrender (with a happy face)
the soldiers look at him and walk toward him. they are about 15 feet aways when mercer puts up five fingers and counts down. chris gets the message and punches a hole in the pavement. he gets in it right about that time mercer explodes into flaying mass of tendrils that rip and tear through soldiers. chris looks up and sees several soldiers head for alex's side. he launches himself on them sending tendrils across their bodies and absorbing them. a few more soldiers attack and shoot chris he falls down but back flips and gets back. his hands grow claws
chris my turn (he says with grimace)
he charges them. he swings the claws around wildly and cuts most of the soldiers into ribbons and he slices the last one in half. each time his body absorbs them into his own. soon the platoon is all dead and chris alex face eachother both breathing heavily.
chris who are you exactly and no bs (he says angerly)
alex mercer i am alex mercer and you are christopher benjamine salazar you are 16.
chris how?
alex mercer when i gave you your abilities (he says in a joyful yet dark tone)
*ukata base report for operation black storm on pfc musashi takado*
a screen flips on one of the mans corpses and it reads
situation: infected in tokyo
infection levels: 2%
operation: failure alex mercer and christopher salazar escape
death toll: 40+
cost: 2.3 million U.S
reconmedations: activate black crown protocole 7-1b
*end of transmission*
alex well well... looks like red crown gotta new name. punch of human pigs. (in a dark tone)
chris looks over to one of the dead soldiers. he holds a picture of his family and chris takes the photo. the building burns in the back ground and collaspes.
chris yeah... pigs (he says sadly)
chris/ narrator somthing is not right... i killed a family man before but why those this one hurt me?. am i becoming emotional or sensible. alex mercer continues to talk about his ideolgy and how the human race is stagnant. only a few months later would i ever learn the truth and it killed me again...
