Well I do believe that Tobi is not madara but Kakashi's old friend Obito. Sounds crazy at first but look at the name's Obito is Tobi with the letter's mixed around and without a O. Also notice that Tobi has only one eye showing why would he hide his other under a mask and also notice that his eye and Kakashi's eye are opposite of each other, because Obito gave one of his eyes to Kakashi It also explains the ear theory Obito wore a weird headset thing.

Obito went to the Hidden Rain Village, when he was probably there(Pay attention to this part before you flame), he probably had met Nagato, Konan and Yahiko. Obito had made friends with Nagato, learned about the Rinnegan. Then suddenly walked off, as years passed, Obito had become taller in the matter, sealing his face with a mask, and a hole of the right eye for the Sharingan to see his user. Trained with Hanzou and use further of his skills with also his Teleportation Jutsu. Fought against Namikaze Minato, because of the fact that Obito knew about Namikaze Minato's abilities of the Flying Thunder God Technique. Oh also, if you seen the picture of Obito during Kakashi Gaiden, he has short hair. His voice is a bit deeper, of course, when your aging. Because Konan was just a little kid, known Nagato and Yahiko. To me, I think it's Obito.
