Deidara needs time to make ANYTHING out of clay, needles do the job.
Don't underrate Sasori, Deidara will never one-shot Sasori in a thousand years.
So you're saying this

Does not have the potential to destroy this

OHH OKAY.
EDIT: Hiding Like a Mole Jutsu doesn't require the use of any clay.

You didn't read what I pointed about Sasori, did you?
No i did not. I'm sure you have valid points, but i have no desire to read all of that.

Well that is true, But if Sasori used strickly lightning based attacks with kazekage then Deidara is screwed.
Also i noticed people saying that sasori wouldnt be able to deal with sasori while he was in the air. But they seem to forget that gaara can fly.
You must be registered for see images

Which means Sasori would also be able to fly with kazekage's iron sand.

Alsoooo, i understand the theory that most people have from deidara's explosions heating kazekage's iron and demagnitizing it, but when you look at when deidara launch this on the sand village
You must be registered for see images

and gaara blocked it with this sand wall

Gaara's sand did not demagnetize. It stood strong and withstood the attack.
Sasori could potenially lift himself with his Iron Sand but he would constantly have to keep it active as its not his ability but the Third Kazkeage puppet's. One sneak attack explosion could catch him off guard and he could be sent plummeting into the ground.

Also the point you raised about C3 vs Gaara's Giant Sand Wall. First of all Sasori doesn't have that much sand at his disposal (Gaara's was almost at his ideal location for a fight).

But most importantly only metals can be demagnitized not ordinary Sand. e.g. the Iron sand would withstand the blast of the explosion but the sheer heat would make it lose its magnetic properties rendering it useless as it can no longer be manipulated with magnetic chakra.

Very true about Iron sand countering C1 and C2 seeing as they are fairly small scale but how exactly would Sasori protect against C3 Exploding Staute ? The only logical way i see is using his Iron Sand but that would get demagnetized half way through the exploson (it demagnetizes at 800C) leaving Sasori even more crippled than Deidara not being able to use C4.
Sasori can choose to avoid them by using sacrificing his weaker puppets as well or he could simply move his puppets out of the way. I don't know how much heat C3 produces so I can't say for sure although you are right in saying C3 will be a killer. It will also drain Deidara's chakra reserves, keep that in mind. Deidara's weakness after using that technique may allow Sasori to go on the offensive and finish him off.
Sasori does have more chakra than Deidara due to his bodily composition but his fighting style is extremely fragile due to the thin chakra strings connecting himself to his puppets. As little as C1 Explosions would sever them with ease (we can't underestimate C1 explosions too much) meaning Sasori would be left momentarily useless.
Ahh yes, I guess if Deidara continues using C1 and C2, he can make Sasori momentarily useless as well although I think Sasori's speed at reattaching chakra strings is much faster than Deidara's preparation of explosives.
If Sasori was to be detached from his puppet during any point in the battle Deidara would have apt opporuntity to subsequently destory the puppet and even go in for a fatal kill by using a C2 Miniature Dragon which would generate an explosion deadly enough to kill Sasori's living core.
Can't Sasori transfer his core to a different puppet and move that puppet at the back to avoid the explosion? The dragon is a huge target for Sasori's stream of fire or potentially some lightning attacks as well.
Deidara could even use faints with his Clay Clone by flying at Sasori with a minature dragon and bait him to attack with a fatal kill then exploding on either his Third Kazekage Puppet or even on Sasori himself.
Sasori being Deidara's superior will probably not fall for clay clone feints and will know what to expect. Furthermore, he is a long range specialist and clay clones are more dangerous against CQC fighters.
On a Final note, we can't deny the fragility of Sasori's own body where he is made entirely of plastic (logical assumption) which is most vital organ, effectively his brain and heart all into one exposed. As little as one direct explosions would probably kill Sasori which could be achieved through the use of insect shape clay bombs which successively managed to infiltrate Gaara's Sand.
Umm you got this all wrong. Sasori's puppets are made of hard metal, they aren't plastic. For some odd reason, Sasori does not have a brain, only a small heart which he can transfer to his other puppets. Deidara's bombs aren't infiltrating iron sand because Gaara's sand is different and things can soak in but iron is fully solid so clay isn't going to stick around.

You are right there about C3 being pretty chakra taxing but honestly the pros seem to outweigh the cons. The blast radius is seemingly unavoidable for a stationary fighter like Sasori so his only alternative is guarding against it. His inevitable use of his entire qunatity of Iron Sand to do this would most likely prove to be too little in quantity to be effective (Gaara required all the sand from his village) and the further effect of it being demagnetized meaning it would break even quicker and could possibly expose Sasori to the explosion.

This could possibly provide Deidara with the opportunity to send in stealth insect shaped clay bombs to get as close to Sasori as possible and pulling a similar trick that he did against Gaara.

Ahh yes, I guess if Deidara continues using C1 and C2, he can make Sasori momentarily useless as well although I think Sasori's speed at reattaching chakra strings is much faster than Deidara's preparation of explosives.
You're right there but then again doesn't Deidara tend to send multiple explosives as shown when Kakashi/Sasuke we're being purused by multiple tracker bombs ? If so, then 1 explosion should be enough to sever the chakra strings, and the remaining clay bombs would be able to attack and hit a defenseless Sasori which has no speed feats in his true form.

Can't Sasori transfer his core to a different puppet and move that puppet at the back to avoid the explosion? The dragon is a huge target for Sasori's stream of fire or potentially some lightning attacks as well.
Sasori would only be able to do this after using his Performance of 100 Puppets otherwise he's stuck in the same body.

As to counter your point on the streams of fire, it was shown to be a relatively short range move which wasn't a projectile in itself but literally streams of fire which were physically connected to his puppet body. Again, he only has access to this when he's in his 100 puppet form after using the scroll to enable his fire release.

Your point on lightning is a interesting but slightly flawed one. Sasuke realized the weakness due to pure luck/circumstance of the fight as well as having a natural affinity with lightning so he used it straight off the bat. Sasori would have to possess this knowledge before hand and i highly doubt he knew that Lightning makes his bombs into useless duds.

Sasori being Deidara's superior will probably not fall for clay clone feints and will know what to expect. Furthermore, he is a long range specialist and clay clones are more dangerous against CQC fighters.
Even then Deidara could use his clay clones, probably 4 at a time (optimum amount) for an all direction aerial bombardment which would be extremely difficulty, verging on impossible for Sasori to defend against.

My bad about the puppet material point. However it doesn't change the fact that his most vital organ is exposed unlike for a normal human which has skin, tissue and flesh not to mention bones to protect our organs from the inside of our bodies.

I believe Deidara has the advantage in this battle because I see his c.4 passing by and or hitting and destroying Sasori's puppets. I would add more to this but I am in a rush to join my belegarth battle today

Hmmmm I'm up in the air about this.

Deidara specializes in long-distance where he can fly around on his dragon.
Sasori is a stationary fighter ranging from close to long range distance.

Deidara can easily bombard the hell out of Sasori from the high ground, where as Sasori has no long distance attacks other then the hyper strong water attack which can break rock as well as his fire tech. The water tech is fast long range efficient as it was able to puncture a cloud from a distance which would just about the same range as Deidara would be flying
But what I do believe Sasori can accomplish are his thin fast poisen needle attacks which can hit Deidara.
Plus Sasori has 100 puppets which can all swarm Deidara in the sky, but Deidara could take them all out if he was quick and swift. Those numbers of puppets could ware out Deidara.

Also if Sasori is just controlling the Third kazekage he could easily avoid explosion's from Deidara while utilizing the Metal Sand to hit Deidara, which is poisoned.
But Deidara does have his overpowered Suicide tech which can end it if Deidara is poisoned.

I personally think it could be a draw because of Poisen + Suicide tech.
Not really an interesting battle. IMO

Deidara of Explosion Style vs Sasori of the Red Sand

This is thread is reverting back to my One vs One Match ups but is variation in my Kage vs Kage Threads by including any shinobi that are Akatsuki or Jinchurikis.

This is a thread highlighting the strength of Deidara and essentially it has no bias but a purpose, and is therefore showing why either team could win. Simply you just ignore the title as i wrote it that way for people to recognize it was one of my threads.

Deidara's Elemental Advantage with Explosion Release and his Clay Bombs

Strengthened by Lava and Fire Techniques as they cause for a more destructive detonation due to the explosives increasing in heat energy which in turns increases the destructive power of the resulting explosion.

-Strengthened by Wind Techniques as they increase the intensity of the explosion (after detonation) and "add fuel to the flames" causing it to grow in magnitude.

-Immunity to Water Techniques as the explosions are still able to detonate under water and some of the larger scale explosions (C3 Exploding Statue) would be able to counter and evaporate the largest of water Techniques.

-Immunity to Earth Techniques simply because of it being the only solid structure element. The explosions would be able to break through most earth techniques and with the larger scale techniques only being countered by a few techniques in specific circumstances e.g. Gaara in the Sand Village.

-Severe Weakness to Lightning Techniques, they've already been shown what effect they have on Deidara's clay bombs. The effect turns his bombs into "duds" which mean they are incapable of detonating, effectively disabling them.

Why Deidara could possibly be stronger than Sasori ?

1) Heat Generated from Explosions Demagnetizes Iron Sand
The explosions Deidara's clay bombs create are an exothermic reaction which release heat upon detonation. The heat of his explosions tend to be reflected by the magnitude of the explosion itself meaning his C3 Exploding Statue would generate more heat than his C1 Miniature clay boms.

He can use this specific property to his advantage when facing Sasori's Third Kazekage Puppet as the heat generated from his large scale explosions (C2 Miniature Dragon and upwards) should be enough to demagnetize the Iron Sand causing Sasori unable to re-use it once demagnetized.

2) Ability to Avoid Direct Battle Confrontations
Deidara's Battle style tends to avoid direct confrontations at short and medium range as a whole. All the times we have seen him in battle (Sasuke vs Deidara, Gaara vs Deidara) he has immediately taken flight whether facing an opponent whether his opponent is capable of flight or not (Sasuke before he revealed the Curse Mark).

He's also been shown to use the Hiding Mole Technique to burrow underground and Clay clones which serve both the purposes of fighting in place of him and exploding afterwards to act as a offensive defense.

His fighting style will be a key contributing factor in defeating Sasori as his entire arsenal doesn't tend to transcend certain heights which Deidara can easily attain with his C2 Dragon.

3) Fragile Nature of Puppetry Techniques
Most of Sasori's fighting styles all share the same fundamental weakness of being dependent on the thin chakra strings which connect him to the puppet itself.

Due to the string's density they're relatively fragile and can be broken with Kenjutsu (swords), wind/fire techniques and etc. The force generated by Deidara's explosions would be enough to destroy the chakra strings connecting him to his puppets rendering him momentarily useless. He could also further capitalize on this by destroying the puppet before Sasori has an opportunity to reconnect the puppet strings.

4) Tracking and Shape Specialization of Clay Bombs

Deidara's Clay bombs have two very unique properties which take hsi fighting style to the next level rather than the basic use of explosives on different magnitudes.

-His clay bombs are capable of tracking which mean they act similar to kamikaze projectiles which follow the opponent until they are manually detonated.

This would be the perfect counter to Sasori's fighting style as it mainly consists of manipulating a puppet while his body itself is stationary.

-The second vital property is the shape specialization of his smaller bombs (C1 and C2) which can be molded into various different creatures.

This could act as a method to attack Sasori in many different ways and directions adding an element of unpredictably to his fighting style.

Insect-shaped Clay bombs could be used for sneak attacks, once they land on the target they can detonate at point blank range (see Deidara vs Gaara)

Bird-shaped Clay bombs could be used as his aerial and most effective tracking explosives which could be used to overwhelm him from various directions or compensate for the range of the battle as a long range battle alternative(when he is using his C2 Dragon).

Snake-shaped Clay bombs could be used to attempt ground attacks by hiding behind the terrain and springing surprise attacks when Sasori attempts to dodge explosions he can't defend against.

Alternative Arguments on how Sasori could win Against Deidara

What do you guys think ? How would win Deidara or Sasori and WHY ?
Well, first of all, great work man. And I'm glad you still take me into consideration on your threads.

Now,I believe that Deidara was surprised that Sasori died. Even stating that Sasori was stronger than he was. That doesn't matter though, I just wanted to put that down there.

At first I believed that Sasori could beat Deidara but I started to doubt myself when I did some research on Deidara a few months ago. Sasori was some puppets we haven't seen, and that can make a differences. But I think Sasori could win this because:
Sasori was his 100 puppet summons which creates openings against Deidara as he will probably try and fly away, but with Sasoris puppeteering skillshe could most likely control the Dragon Bomb/Bird into going off course. This could also help when Deidara uses the C1 bombs. Another feat that Sasori has is that he, too, is a Long range fighter, like Deidara. But when Sasori needs to, he can be a close range fighter(Hosuko and his true puppet form) and, as we've seen, Deidara suffers more from close range fighters(Itachi, Sasuke) than he does against long range fighters(Gaara).
I just see Sasori taking this match because of his plethora of skill sets that cannot be matched so easily. All Deidara has are his bombs(which are troublesome) but Sasori's puppet skills will help him move the bombs, or even deidara himself.

This would be a hell of a match though, and I also wouldn't be surprised if Deidara wins. I say Sasori wins 6/10 times. Any thoughts?

An Interesting point you raise and one i've considered deeply. The sneak attacks if Deidara is on the ground would work as a potential OHKO (one hit K.o) but then again in the two full blown fights we've seen Deidara participate in whether he's against a airborn opponent or not he has been shown to start immediately in the air. He slightly underrated Sasuke which is why he might of remained on the ground longer than he usually would (logical assumption) but someone as skilled and as lethal as Sasori he would surely take to the air in the opening seconds of the battle. From that range i highly doubt that any of Sasori's needles or sneka attacks would be able to reach Deidara. In the slim chance that they did he would have almost too much time to react and swiftly evade, even then this is assuming they are 100% accurate.
I think Deidara would indeed get serious and immediately go airborne, but it still takes time to make a dragon that big, and it all kind of depends on how they start. What I'm saying is that if they both start on the ground, Deidara in a regular state, Sasori in Hiruko, I'm pretty sure Deidara has nothing to shield himself with unless he can make it within a split second. And the mines you talked about were placed by Tobi, so since this is a 1v1 I doubt Deidara can use those.

And let's say Deidara manages to get up in the air and Sasori decides to go with the Third, he can still use Iron Sand Rain, which is a very powerful attack, which means that it will surely reach Deidara from those distances, not to mention Iron Sand World Order, it can also be used as a defense to guard from the explosions.

Oh and let's not forget the Third's poison clouds, it's similar to Deidara's C4 Karura since the only think you have to do is breathe it in, unless Deidara decides to blow himself up like Sakura, but that would be a much bigger blow since it isn't just a paper bomb.

My point is, I can't see Deidara not even getting a single scratch, just a single scratch from anything in Sasori's arsenal. That's why I think the needles will do the job.

So you're saying this
You must be registered for see images
Does not have the potential to destroy this

You must be registered for see images

OHH OKAY.
EDIT: Hiding Like a Mole Jutsu doesn't require the use of any clay.
Did you even read my post? As if Deidara has the time to make it, and Sasori just stands there waiting to be blown up... Hiruko has a tail, which I've seen can get very long if he wants, he's shown the ability to put it under the ground and attack his enemies with it, which pretty much makes it risky for Deidara to go underground. Not to mention poison clouds when he gets back up = guaranteed death. OHH OKAY

Please make a better post next time.

Deidara was also capable of the Hiding Mole Technique which means he could go underground instantaneously and reappear a considerable distance away, buying himself enough time to construct a C2 Dragon.

Recalling Deidara's infiltration of the Sand Village he used a miniature flying creature that he hung onto to achieve flight without being noticed. He could possibly use to get some range between himself and Sasori to either take flight immediately or construct a C2 Dragon (it doesn't take as long as your implying, but i understand your point ;) )

Nice i like your logic, nobody else stated specific jutsus Sasori could use. I agree Iron Sand World order could be used as a defensive wall from such a multitude of Deidara's bombs but wouldn't it provide an ideal opportunity for Deidara to substitute with a clay clone or send in sneak attack clay bombs similar to what he did with Gaara (when using a large scale attack) and cause Sasori to be hit with a point blank explosion. This is almost pure speculation but it also ties in with fighting style Deidara has previously exhibited in the past.

Good point you raise about the poison cloud but it doesn't exactly apply to Deidara's C4 Karura. The deadliest thing about C4 is the bombs are microscopic and hence invisible meaning it can hit the opponent and they wouldn't be aware of it until its too late. Also Sasori's posion cloud is a short range move and the only reason Sakura was caught in it is she is a close range figther who relies solely on Taijutsu. Deidara's fighting style is the complete opposite so the poison cloud would effectively be rendered useless.

Finally to counter your point on he Third Kazekage Puppet being capable of flight by extending the chakra strings is logical but could put Sasori in a terrible position for 3 main reasons.

1) Sasori said the weakness of a Puppet user is that he's vulnerable the further his puppet is from him.

2) Increased Lag between the Puppet and Sasori's movements meaning it reacts later than Sasori wanted meaning he won't be able to react to attacks which require quick reactions.

3) The thin chakra strings are more vulnerable and one c1 explosion could sever the connection between Sasori and 3rd Kazkeage his puppet.

With the poison cloud I kinda meant when Deidara uses hiding like a mole jutsu, it'll be hard for him to come out and I doubt Deidara could sense a poison cloud when he's underground, but yes, other than that it's useless.

And I guess you're right that Sasori might not win without the Iron Sand or even his puppet army, so let's say the Third's attacks are useless and Sasori calls upon his puppet army ( Which are actually over 200 puppets instead of 100 ), at that point I think Deidara doesn't stand a chance anymore. He's bound to get scratched, so many individual puppets. He also has his flamethrower to fend off any bombs and attack Deidara at the same time, and let's not forget his ability to switch bodies. He managed to switch bodies after the seal was coming at him at great speed, I think he'll be able to switch easily when there's a bomb coming at him. That is if Deidara gets the chance to attack him.

Well, it could go either way.

From what we have seen, Deidara will win this fight as Sasori has no defense whatever that will protect him from deidara's bombs.

But Sasori could also win because
1. Deidara said that sasori was stronger than him. This means that deidara had weighed up both their abilities and concluded that he will lose to sasori in a battle.
2. The human puppets. As we all know, these were former people turned into puppets and made to keep their former abilities. We have not seen but one of them, the third kazekage. Just maybe, one of the human puppets may have an ability that is a perfect counter to deidara's ability. And the third kazekage being the strongest kazekage, will surely be able to defeat deidara as deidara had a tough time against Gaara who is not even as strong as the third kazekage.
3. Experience. Sasori being formerly teamed up with orochimaru and being older surely has more experience to show in the fight which may guarantee him the place of the winner in this fight.

But as we all know, it is not up to us to decide, it is up to masashi, although their would be some cheating here and there, there is nothing we can do.

Thank you and +rep as well.
