I give the advantage to deidara because he can fight from insane distances and mines. but i would really have like to have seen them battle because they both have very strong quality's i imagine that sasori's third kazekage iron sand techs would be a challenge for deidara because he would use iron sand to shield himself . my prediction both die from deidara's ace explosion the big ass one that was used on sasuke.

I think Sasori wins high diff, mainly because of poison and his wire-thing because it is poisoned and can go pretty far. And don't forget Sasori can switch his heart to another puppet ;)

I think that deidara would take this high diff. If deidara actually thinks it over and stays at long range and surprises sasori then deidara wins. Although we know that deidara's personality is....well he's an idiot so I doubt he would think at all in this battle. Deidara's dragon would counter sasori's hundred puppet jutsu and he could use C3 to take out the kazekage while he gets away from the explosion from above. He could then use His suicide technique as a last resort. I just don't see sasori able to defend against some of deidara's more powerful techniques. I think one of the only problems deidara will have is poison, but he could simply use clay clones to distract sasori while he killed him.

I think Deidara wins with extremely high difficulty. In the end i think his combination of long range battle and almost endless variation of explosive techniques at all ranges give him a slight upper hand.If everything else fails he can just blow everything to smithereens.

I agree both our powerful but in the end deidara has the upper hand in long rang battle being able to drop micro bugs that sasori can do nothing about.
Sasori is too physical in his approach to fighting he could put up a good fight but in the end he is just not a good match up for deidara +rep

Good thread, but i'd have to label Sasori as the favourite here. A single scratch could be fatal considering Sasori has weapons laced with poison. Satetsu is, in my opinion, a brilliant counter to Deidara's C1 and C2, though C3 would still be an issue. It's versatility would definately give Sasori an edge. C4 is a non-factor for reasons already outlined. Sasori's puppets also possess aerial capabilities, so by simply going airbone Deidara won't wholly remove the threat of Sasori's major arsenal. I don't think it'd be too difficult for someone as skillful as him to tactically manoeuvre Deidara into an undesirable position, allowing him to swiftly go for the kill. I also don't think we should ignore Deidara's admission that he was weaker than Sasori - not take it as absolute, but definately something to bare in mind.

Great thread as usual.+Rep

This thread was kind of pointless though since Deidara himself said that Sasori was stronger. I'll read it later and hopefully comment with more detail.
deiara already admitted sasori is the stronger one of them
He said he did that as the title just so people know that it is one of his threads.

Very well thought out. I especially liked the use of explosives to demagnetize the iron within the sand, ingenious. C4 would generate about 3000 degrees farenheit and to you would only need about 1400 degrees to demagnetize metal. While this would eliminate Sasori's ability to form weapons, it would not negate the defensive value of sands ability to absorb the heat and concussive force as Gara demonstrated by protecting his Village. Deidara's techniques are mainly offensive. Deidara's defense is either avoidance by virtue of range, or subterfuge by use of clones. As you have already noted, Sasori does have some capability, however slight, to overcome range advantage by forming projectiles or using his sand as a possible transport. The way in which Deidara was able to overcome Gara was to wear him out attacking the village. In Sasori's case this kind of leverage would not be available. Still, this would be a tough matchup. By eliminating Sasori's Iron Sand techniques his offensive capability would greatly reduced as would his effectiveness to deliver an attacks to a long range opponent. I still feel that having some ability to overcome the range puts him slightly ahead of Deidara. Nice thread.

Lol do we need to explain anything more,???No everything's covered up :p
I honestly believe diedara can easily beat sasori 8/10 times.
Sasori only has a chance if they fight close range.

Sasori's arsenal hiruko only covers his back(if i'm not mistaken)
So that meandiedara's explosions gonna hit him.Once diedara flies off into the sky.....only Gaara can take him down.

The Iron sand is a interesting thing indeed. It can tank anything up to C2 (maybe excluding the Dragon Projectiles) without much difficulty but has the weakness of heat being able to demagnitize the Iron sand causing it to lose form and ultimately become useless to Sasori. C3 is of such a magnitude that i honestly think it would eradicate the Third Kazekage puppet/demagnetize the entirety of Sasori's Iron sand.

The point on the range of the battle is a crucical one to this fight. Whilst his puppets do posses aerial capabilities due to the fragile connection between him and the puppet (chakra strings), as little as pme explosion could sever them rendering Sasori momentarily useless.

On a final note, Sasori is a stationary fighter when not using Hiruko so Deidara's tracking bombs would be an ideal counter to him as he doesn't possess the speed to evade them and so is forced to continually guard them. However my question is, what if the assaults come from different directions as well as different heights ?

I think Sasori is being underestimated. I think Sasori is the better ninja. He was more intelligent. He slacked off in his fight with Chiyo and Deidara showed his full strength against Sasuke. I think Deidara would loose because Sasori could make it a battle of speed. Sasori's 100 puppets could prevent Sasori from making huge attacks because he would always be pressing him.

I also think it would be very hard for Deidara to avoid every one of Sasori's attacks. All of his puppets and their weapons had that deadly poison on them and as we saw with Sakura it only takes a scratch to prove deadly. I think Deidara is at a disadvantage in this battle because his style requires time to be completely effective and Sasori can be straight to the point.

1. Sasori has his fake body (hiruko)
2. he had the Kazekage along with his Iron Sand techniques
3. the 100+ puppet techniques
4. every weapon was poison based. either dipped in poison (cutting weapons) or gas
5. he had all the elements at his disposal
6. his real puppet-ized body
7. YEARS of experience.
8. Deidara kind of feared him, and respected him to a degree

Plus if none of that helps his case, we can always look at the fact that Deidara said Sasori was stronger.

Great as always, I agree with every single word :D

You forget something. I agree with you that sasori most likely will begin the fight in hiroku, and that deidara will, at some point, be using c2 dragon. But in deidaras fight we saw him flying on smaller birds which is faster and more agile then c2, and he will definately be using this if he feels under pressure. From this he can throw smaller explosive creatures at sasori, or hide them in the iron sand like he did in his fight with gaara in order to get a hit when the sand is used as a defence. Furthermore I'm sure that deidara will be able to create clay bombs small enough to crawl into holes and crack in sasori's puppets from where they can cause some serious troubole.

deidaras temperament will most likely be a bit troublesome for him, but I guess he will be using clay clones during the fight. when these are hit by sasori the can exploding dealing heavy damage to whatever puppet he uses.
I'm sure deidara is able to pull it off, but it wan't be an easy win

EDIT it was supposed to be a respond to minatofan234, don't know what happenend

EDIT 2 Damn that is some bad spelling from my side, my appoligies

He sure did say that, but sasori is primarily a close - mid range fighter while deidara can fight from far out using small, fast and agile bombs that can attack from both air and ground. And deidara whas considered strong aswell

On your demagnization of the theory. IMO though heat would demagnitive the iron sand, i dont think that would matter because the whole ability of magnet release is to convert one chakra into a magnetizing force. So if the iron sand did loose its magnitization, he would simple be able to use water scroll to cool it and then remagnetize.

Fair point but i've considered this and only the 3rd Kazekage himself was able to remagnitize Iron Sand with his magnetic chakra, the puppet his just a shell of his former self which can only manipulate it but not re-magnitize.

I see your logic there but water wouldn't remagnitize it, it would simply cool it. Demagnetization is a irreversible process (as far as i know) as the poles get messed up under excessive heats.
