Ahhhh...... i fogot to add sasori's posioned arsenal to my scenario.... lol it just would have made it much more difficult for deidara lol

Awesome thread! And I agree, mainly because they are both long distance fighters but due to Sasori's puppet constantly being sent out he leaves himself wide open to attacks from anyone of Deidara's clay bombs.

In my opinion, this fight goes to Deidara. The best argument for this is his range: he can simply launch a hell of a lot bombs from away, while hiding some in the ground so he can go pass the iron sand.
It may all come down to stamina: how much am I able to bomb you and how much will you be able to use your iron sand.

The absolute only way I see Sasori winning is Poison. If Deidara gets cut, he's done for.
On the other hand Deidara has somewhat of a advantage against Sasori Because Of his explosives, Which you already stated.

Deidara wins this one for me, Deidara can counter the Iron sand in the same way as he did against Gaara, (hiding small bombs in the sand), and in a open space evading something like that should be easy for him while flying on the C2 dragon and the massive bombs he has can take out the 100 puppets because although they will cover a lot of range Deidara's bombs will do the same.
That being said, in an enclosed space, Sasori wins, the poison weapons will be very hard to evade without enough space, and if Deidara gets poisoned, it is a KO.

@Icelerate, they never had a full blown fight to the death showcasing each of their abilities so regardless of that statement Deidara could very well turn out to be stronger than Deidara.

well theoretically yes deidara may win but as we now in the naruto verse the attitude has a huge role in the fight
i mean deidara isn't so smart he's lacking patience and when he gets angry he always blows shit upp (which is awesome ;p)
but sasori is always calm and could outsmart deidara and i got the impression that sasori is the one who's superior to deidara
like when itachi kisame n sasori was gonna invite deidara to akatsuki sasori said something like "let me take care of him" but then itachi interfered

Ah the battle between two masters of art I'm normally not for battles (ironic considering this is an action manga) but this is one battle I would have liked to watch.
Hm, who would win... It depends. Deidara could win if he managed to destroy all puppets and make the Iron sand useless. He has the advantages of the bombs and his ability to fly.
But I imagine that making the Iron sand useless will take quite a while - enough time in which Sasori could knock off Deidara from his clay masterpiece and overpower him on the ground with his multiple puppets. He could even make his bombs useless if he had a puppet with Lightening nature.
For this fight, it can go either way I think. It depends on how fast they attack

could go either way but depends on a few things.. deidara might be able to counter the puppets with c2 dragon and the ironsand but will have a hard time to evade the poison weps. he has to take the 100 puppets quickly since it cover alot range bombs

One poison scratch means victory for sasori......Ill bet on at least a scratch or two of his amazing weapon arsenals....plus his army of puppets...which im sure are packing mad poison too..not to mention i think he would be able to use ninja tools like rapid fire if im not mistaken....i think im gonna watch that sasori battle again...too dope
