Alright so a common misconception is that 4 tailed Kyubi Naruto would neg diff fodder stomp Hidan... I too used to believe this, until I reread the manga and saw this page

In this page, it states how Naruto is covered in his own blood before he even enters 4 tailed mode...

We all know how Hidan's ritual works... He collects blood via his tri blade scythe, then inflicts injuries upon himself which carry over to the enemy, after he forms his circle.

"Oh but Kyubi Naruto would speed blitz GG him" that is true BUT Kyubi Naruto uses no tactics, it just attacks basically anything that moves in its area. Hidan could pretend to have been killed, until it continues its rampage elsewhere. He proceeds to get up, make his circle, do his ritual, then...

So what makes you guys think Hidan's scythe can pierce Naruto's cloak when the legendary sword of kusanagi which was famed for being able to pierce anything failed. Don't even bother with the stupid "Hidan is better at taijutsu argument". Oro didn rely on his physical strenght to swing kusanagi. It expanded and tried to use the force generated through that expansion to pierce Naruto. That force exceeds anything Hidan's physical strenght can muster. Also it doesn't really matter how strong Hidan is. The fact is his blade isn't strong enough to pierce Naruto's cloak, simples.
