Problem with Sakura (read before spamming/trolling/closing the thread)

I have seen recent threads regarding Sakura's speed, and just a recent one with comparison to Kakashi. Then I have seen alot of VS threads for Sakura. However, there are couple of things similar to the people who go against Sakura (usually most of the time. ).

1. Her fighting style is sloppy
2. she is slow
3. she can't do so and so (fill out anything you can think of poeple say she can't do, despite having the logical ability to do so).

See the main problem with Sakura is shes never gotten a chance to fight. The last time she had a proper fight was with Sasori, where she was also restricted within the cave and dealing with poison and conserving chakra. We actually have never seen her fight. And that is the main problem with her.

We have seen hinata/shino/kiba/lee/neji and etc fight.. but we have not seen Sakura go on the offense. She went on offense against Madara right? However, Naruto and Sasuke weren't able to land a hit on Madara at that time also. And her not being shown in a fight where we can actually see what she can do is the thing that puts her down when using her in a VS thread or a VS scenario.

And this to me is the biggest problem with Sakura. Other than that, its mostly kishimoto throwing her development away for Naruto and Sasuke so she can do the "damsel in distress" role, similar to how Kubo is with Rukia.

So do you also think this is the biggest problem with her character?

Did not she go all out against the juubi clones, then the very next panel got her a$$ saved by naruto and sasuke!

For me You are right. We have each our own opinions and i respect everyone's opinion. I really think that kishi wants to highlight more on the powers of the two 'monsters' in team 7. Hehe.. and sakura is for support to them, to aid them especially in healing.. thats what i can say.

Never say never. She fought with Sasori along with Chhiyo and Tsunade's style is an exmaple of how she is progressing since then.

Saying that offense is not her main skill but defense and providing back up as medical Nin. In the last chapter she did leap away from kaguya's reach before Kakashi's susano coming to rescue and picking her up. So her reaction time was not that bad. That was how she was being trained by Tsunade back then and something she used in her fight with Sasori.

Naruto used one of the clones of his to push Sasuke and himself away from another one.

Sakura's main problem is that she is the only person in the team 7 who didn't get any power or ability boost from an older brother, father or friend. She doesn't have an inherited clan tech either. To top it she is not a combat type.

All fans will have a pre-set directive they will follow when judging characters, which isn't a bad thing. Humans judge things from the get-go for a reason- to identify what it is, and how interested(or not) they should be in it.

Almost every character can and will take some heat, but it's the bashing that's noticeable and has the most followers that people notice. Also, it depends on what negative aspects people focus on. In a World rife with big, burly, (nearly) white, powerful men, along with a smattering of women, most people will lean towards the traits exhibited by the men, and not the women.

Think about it.

How many of the women in naruto have exhibited the traits that men usually do, and compare that with how the general public receives them.

At the same time, understand that most people also like "going with the flow", because it's something familiar, and you have others who agree with you (peacefully). If the flow decrees that you bash Sakura over the head with a tire iron, then by Kami, you will bash Sakura over the head with a tire iron, whether it's sensible or not.

How you guys can cry about hard work being ignored while you bash the nin in the team 7 who has nothing but her hard work to rely on.

Sakura sadly has not gotten any screen time to show her combat skills that didn't involve being saved right afterwards.A power up or two would've helped as well.

How you guys can cry about hard work being ignored while you bash the nin in the team 7 who has nothing but her hard work to rely on.

But you have to remember, Tsunade was the better combatant out of jiraiya and orochimaru, despite being the "support" role.

So Sakura should be a good combatant. Thats what i always said about Tsunade, when people say "shes a supporter".. no she is first a fighter, then a supporter character. However, its just that we see her in supporting roles more because she "HAS" to be in them.

And i never complained about her not getting powerups/ or not being born from a family. nor about sasuke and naruto getting their power givens to them "free". Doesn't matter to me. I simply feel, Sakura got trolled hard by the writer of the manga. And now he is literally insulting the character (though many other fans and the writer probably don't view it that way), but how many times do we want sakura being saved? its cliche and repetitive x-x But these are the problems i have with Kishimoto not sakura.

But i still honestly think if she had a proper chance to shocase her abilities she'd be on the level of Minat/itachi/kisame/pain easily. << Now watch people troll on that statement of mine.

You must be irritated by the fans and "trolls" arguments. What does it have to do with this? I cannot find the point of your thread.

You go on and say she has not gone on the offensive, but contradict yourself and say she has. However, she has not shown much which does not mean anything as the fact remains she as fought. What concerns me was your statement on her inability of competing against other characters. Something you argued about as she had a lack of skill that cannot compete with the rest. That was what you wanted to prove, however, actuality it is nothing to prove because it was already known by readers. Simply put, she has nothing else to offer as far as abilities goes.

The point of the thread is in the title of the thread, and later on inside the thread by itself.


No that was not a contradiction in the statements. The context of "offense" in those was different.

1. You do not know her abilities, so why act liek you know them? No one knows the full extent of her abilities. Do you know how she'll deal with a genjutsu user? do you know how she'll fight a SM Naruto for example? no. You do not know the extent of her abilities.

2. Sorry, but my point was to say she doesn't have the skill to compete against the rest? what? rofl. The whole point of the thread was that the main problem with sakura and her abilities is that she hasn't gotten the chance to fight...

- "sakura is slow".. if she showed speed in combat against a top teir character, this won't be an issue
- "sakura has no fighting style" .. if she actually got the chance to fight someone of her level in a 1 vs 1 , we would knwo her fighting style.

Sakura is Medic and she stay/stick on her role as healers, help the injured Shinobi, and what other medic tend to do.

Unless it is in desperation or give a help in fighthing an opponent

Credit to her for learning some specific fighthing skills from Tsunade. And it help her a lot to fighting with a threat if her is alone or without assistance/help.

Her speed is there although not on par with Naruto or Sasuke. But Juub tail hand
is not to be underestimated here. If Naruto and sasuke that renown with their speed slow to alert and avoid Juubi tail hand where they are help by Naruto clone by pushing them.

Then Don't ask why Sakura unable to avoid it to or unable to leave the hand far away of her

You never see any doctor or Nurse going to fight someone. But they will treat and protect injuries peoples from harm.
