Problem with Sakura (read before spamming/trolling/closing the thread)

Mods/spammers/members/fans/trolls/etc please read the thread before bashing/closing/trolling it. (THREAD IS MOSTLY FOR "ONLY MANGA IS CANNON" people)

I have seen recent threads regarding Sakura's speed, and just a recent one with comparison to Kakashi. Then I have seen alot of VS threads for Sakura. However, there are couple of things similar to the people who go against Sakura (usually most of the time. ).

1. Her fighting style is sloppy
2. she is slow
3. she can't do so and so (fill out anything you can think of poeple say she can't do, despite having the logical ability to do so).

See the main problem with Sakura is shes never gotten a chance to fight. The last time she had a proper fight was with Sasori, where she was also restricted within the cave and dealing with poison and conserving chakra. We actually have never seen her fight. And that is the main problem with her.

We have seen hinata/shino/kiba/lee/neji and etc fight.. but we have not seen Sakura go on the offense. She went on offense against Madara right? However, Naruto and Sasuke weren't able to land a hit on Madara at that time also. And her not being shown in a fight where we can actually see what she can do is the thing that puts her down when using her in a VS thread or a VS scenario.

And this to me is the biggest problem with Sakura. Other than that, its mostly kishimoto throwing her development away for Naruto and Sasuke so she can do the "damsel in distress" role, similar to how Kubo is with Rukia.

So do you also think this is the biggest problem with her character?

- how does she fight?
- Can she take on so and so?

^^^ These are all questions that are unanswered because Kishimoto decided to not show her fighting. By problem to her character i'm nnot referring to personality/goal.. I'm referring to the state she is in.

Sakura fanbase really has nothing to judge her prowess with.

you remember when Madara smashed on bm naruto with just his fan? ok so say Naruto went to attack madara, for the first time, Madara does the fan thing and Naruto gets knocked back like he did. And then Kiishimoto decides to cut off the fight.

Automatic fan response: Madara only needs his fan for Naruto.

^^ Despite Naruto having many way to take on that madara. the automatic response would be the fan is all that is needed. Its similar to Sakura's punch on Madara, she probably does have a fighting style and so on , however we don't know because Kishimoto doesn't wants to put her in a fight.


PS: this problem isn't only with Minato, its with other characters who are said to be in higher prowess but do not possess a counter to someone's ability shown in the manga.

No not really. Sakura's biggest problem is her low move pool and arsenal. Sakura is a close combat fighter although kishi has tried to fix that issue by making her attacks explosive. Her speed and or reactions have also been lackluster (which could be solved with more fights as you were saying), however her main fight was against someone with a partner too which still dilutes the results (I don't believe Sakura could fight against Sasori that well while alone, same could be said for the gokage against madara). As for speed, Sakura really just needs a good speed feat at blitzing some fast character or be given chakra enhanced speed compared to a fast character. Her basic fighting style could be easily fixed with speed and possibly an offensive chakra scalpel (just look at the raikage who basically just punches, kicks, and rams into people). Just my 2 cents on the matter.

how would you know whats in her arsenal when you have never seen her fight? I never knew you can show your abilities without actually being a fight.

from what i've seen, her fans have had much thicker skin over the course of the story than some fans of certain characters who have been mocked as a result of the last few chapters.

My question to you is, how can we give her something that was never even hinted at though? Also Naruto showcased his sensing ability a few times while not in combat with people, and also his speed when catching up to Sakura and Kakashi. Sakura in part 1 had nothing to really even give her "definition" at being special besides her being a genjutsu type and inner sakura, only thing that changed from part 1 to part 2 was Tsunade's tutelage, which lead to Sakura being the ninja she is today. If you want to compare Tsunade to Jman and Orochimaru and see who had the bigger selection of moves be my guest.

You must be irritated by the fans and "trolls" arguments. What does it have to do with this? I cannot find the point of your thread.

You go on and say she has not gone on the offensive, but contradict yourself and say she has. However, she has not shown much which does not mean anything as the fact remains she as fought. What concerns me was your statement on her inability of competing against other characters. Something you argued about as she had a lack of skill that cannot compete with the rest. That was what you wanted to prove, however, actuality it is nothing to prove because it was already known by readers. Simply put, she has nothing else to offer as far as abilities goes.
