[Photoshop] problem with font

ok i downloaded a font for Photoshop and every time i try to paste it in the "Fonts" folder it says my file currently being used and can not be replaced. then it says wait until Windows is finished useing the file, and try again.

i mean what the hell is that suppose to mean. can some1 help please:(

When you've finished downloading, did you close the tab or window you were downloading it in, make sure you didn't have the folder it was in open either.

no i don't close the tab that i was i downloading it in.
do i have to close the tab that i was downloading the font in and the folder it was in before i put it in the "Fonts" folder?

Don't drop it in the font folder. Go into your Control Panel and double-click Fonts. There is an option to "install new font." Use that. Make sure the font is the proper extension. Usually it will be something.ttf
