I need somebody to pinpoint exactly where his prime is.(not edo) He has been shown to use senjutsu while Edo but that's an asspull anyway. If he knew senjutsu already why not use it against obito? He's either really bad at it or only uses it as a last choice. If you can say prime minato is when he used senjutsu then i can say prime Itachi is when he wasn't sick but he MS Or was just less sick

Naruto gathered the senjutsu, Minato formed the giant rasengan. Both combined the rasenagn and nature energy into one. Naruto is better and using sage mode, hence why it was a waste of time and non essential for minato to use it against Obito, while Naruto was there.

Sage mode Minato is prime Minato. In all honesty when he absorbed the fox would be prime, with time he could of possibly mastered him (he did actually just not alive).

He didn't use it against Obito because it wasn't required, he was a fodder. Sage mode is a last choice, he's instant why would he waste time gather chakra (while others die in a situation) just to win faster? He's a hokage, he protects.

At the end of the day, it depends on whether you think he should have SM restricted in versus matchups when he is in his alive state, due to the fact he never used it while alive and stated he wasn't very proficient with it. No, sage mode, Minato will is stronger than Itachi's. That's what truly defeats a person genjutsu wise, and since time goes by a sec in that world or w/e sage mode will be gathered faster.

Minato's prime would be right before his death. Probably a day before Kushina gave birth, because he definitely wasn't prime mentally on the day his wife give's birth, son gets threatened, etc.

At that point in time Minato should have all the abilities he has when he is edo, excluding the abilities that involve the use of Kurama. This includes senjutsu. Minato did not use senjutsu for the simple fact that it takes time to gather natural energy, and unlike Naruto clones likely weren't a viable method since his chakra pool isn't as large as Naruto's. Making several clones to gather energy would likely make his normal body significantly weaker. Also Minato takes longer to gather energy and doesn't gather as much energy as Naruto, so it isn't very efficient to use in a battle where time is of the essence.

DMS kakashi is an asspull and so is sage minato.
And I'm pretty sure it was required in the ninja war when obito "died" And he had plenty of prep time
