Prime Hiruzen would be a beast!

Prime Hiruzen was undoubtedly a beast. He was most likely more powerful than Minato and Tobirama (alive Minato, meaning no BM). That isn't to say that he would win against them; Minato may be able to beat Hiruzen due to his speed.

Prime Hiruzen would have been faster and physically stronger. Much better at taijutsu. He would have higher stamina, meaning higher chakra reserves, and thus an ability to perform more high-level jutsu (he could truly take advantage of the fact that he had mastery over all five elements). He would also make a more effective combo with Enma, and be able to actually wield the staff.

I reckon that, in order:

1. Hashirama Senju
2. Hiruzen Sarutobi
3. Tobirama Senju
4. Minato Namikaze
5. Tsunade Senju

All I see is bunch of would, could and ifs.

By feats Hiruzen is #5.

Awesome post. However, the topic of Minato vs Tobirama has been going on for so long now, that i just consider them equal at this point. Unless it's KCM/BM, then Minato stomps .

Thanks, bro. Yeah, Tobirama vs Minato is hard to call. Tobirama has mastery over water-style techniques in addition to FTG, but then Minato is better at FTG, and also has Rasengan. Hard to call.

That looks accurate.

On a similar note, I wish Kishimoto would give Tsunade some more Raitons. I still am not even sure what the difference is between her Creation Rebirth and Strength of a Hundred jutsus. Hell, I seriously believe that Kishimoto should had just given her Lightning Armor.

But Kishimoto has to put Hiruzen in the limelight next.

Indeed. That's a perfect example with Kaguya, too. Hashirama and Madara used to be in the same boat as Ashura and Indra too, their only real hype was fighting each other, but few doubted the hype before there were feats.

Admittingly, you can't necessarily take hype for all it's worth. If you do so, there will be inconsistencies and contradictions. However, that said, you can see the hype for it's intended meaning. In this case, Kishimoto is simply telling us what he wants us to know about Hiruzen. He does it all the time.

Deidara admitted he's weaker than Sasori. Did we see Sasori beat Deidara? No. Is it debatable if Sasori would win? Yes. But Kishimoto is telling us what he wants us to know; Sasori > Deidara.

It's like he told us that Prime Hanzo beat the Sannin and that Prime Hanzo could had beat Pein, without showing us. You may say Prime Hanzo does not exist because he has no feats, but Kishimoto has made it real with a simple stroke of the pen.

Hiruzen truly is a beast. If only Kishi would actually start valuing characters who are not filled with special DNA and prophecy, reincarnation stuff to natural beasts like Hiruzen. Gai had some great moments tho. I wish we could see Prime Hiruzen's power it would have been beast.
