If you view the pros and cons of both techs overall which defense is better?

The myth about pretha path being able to absorb any ninjutsu is just a myth.
It cannot absorb mokouton, sand, chibaku tensei, madara's metoers, shinra tensei, banshou tennin.
Also its greatest weakness is taijutsu.
Susanoo takes this by a long shot. Are people underestimating susanoo after it took 2 kages to break 2 ribs of a v2 susanoo?

Where did you come to this conclusion? It was never used against madara's meteors, but it did absorb gaara's sand. And it has been shown to absorb materialized chakra (a sea of burning oil). I'm pretty sure it could absorb mokuton.
And if preta path was used in the same situation as madara's susanoo, raikage's shroud and agrivated rock would have been absorbed and madara would be standing there laughing his butt off.

How the f*ck is it absorbing a metoer, by swallowing it? lmao. Also when did it absorb sand, if anything it will mostly absorb the chakra infused in the sand but not the sand itself. Also mokouton creates life force, it turns chakra into something else (trees). I doubt he can absorb wood, because it isnt chakra anymore.

True, but mighty gai would be his worst opponent. Might guy not only doenst use chakra, pretha path Achilles heels is taijutsu and gai is the best taijutsu user inthe series so far.

because susanoo is not 100% PERFECT..... remember the strain?...... remember the shortened life spam??.... NOT ALL SUSANOOS HAVE YATA MIRROR AND TOTSUKA BLADE like Itachi's and here is not stated Itachi's in particular so it would be a normal susanoo as the ONE THAT GOT DESTROYED BY RAIKAGE...... so please MAKE ALL THE FACTS COUNT TOO.

You talk about facts and yet your exaggerate. As ive said already it took 2 kages to break 2 ribs of a v2 susanoo. Also lets stop with this exaggeration, susano never got destroyed. Its still around madara, minus two ribs

IDK, if the meteor is created by chakra then it can be absorbed since goemon which was materialized chakra was also absorbed. You are right it absorbed the chakra in the sand, not the sand itself, but that still follows my logic since gaara didn't create the sand using chakra, he just uses his chakra to control it while wood-release creates trees using chakra, goemon creates burning oil using chakra, and if madara actually creates a meteor from chakra, it most likely can be absorbed as well.
I didn't come up with answers to the other ninjutsu since I agree that they can't be absorbed since they don't materialize chakra in any way.
Sure and you can add that to the cons of preta path. A big pro for preta path over susanoo is that preta path actually increases the users chakra reserve when an jutsu is absorbed while just keeping susanoo up constantly decreases the users reserves regardless if susanoo tanks a hit or not.

The metoers arent made by chakra, they were from space xd. How is he absorbing that big ass rock. Its a rock, not chakra. Also gaara's sand isnt made from chakra, he just infuses his chakra into the sand he collects or the sand around him.
raikage literarily destroyed sasuke susanoo with two-three strike (where the third was stopped by gaara) would have destroyed two bones of sasuke's susanoo. that means that 6 bones would take around 6-9 hits from a raikage.... I know it's quite a good defense in taijutsu wise, but the point I want to state is that IT IS NOT 100% PERFECT and i'm not exagerating.... if you think so just watch the episode of Raikage vs Sasuke or even itachi vs sasuke and watch how itachi is feeling the drawback of his susanoo same with sasuke after his fights.

true the rock can literarily CRUSH PETRA xD xD, but in the place where gaara controls his sand through chakra we can say that petra can absorb the chakra that controls the sand and disable the sand itself.
So yes... somethings can be absorbed NOT EVERYTHING I doubt mokuton or rocks can be absorbed....... but things such as chakra strings, chakra infused, chakra, mist (mizukage tech), etc etc I'M 100% POSITIVE THAT CAN BE ABSORBED

You either dont know the definiton of exaggeration or you are ignoring it. Raikage didnt break any ribs from sasuke's susanoo let alone destroyed it. He cracked two ribs yes but they didnt break.
Also we all know the drawback of susanoo but that isnt why itachi was spitting flood. It was due to his health + extremely low chakra.
Fact is him and onoki have managed to crack 2 ribs in v2 susanoo. Nothing special if you ask me. Doubt they would be able to in susanoo v3, if they only managed 2 ribs in v2

There isn't evidence to support your answer or my answer. In hindsight it would seem that you are correct, but lets also consider the fact that both meteors that were summoned were exactly identicle and the possibility of summoning two identicle meteors from space, is extremely low. And lets also take into account that the meteors were not traveling anywhere near entry-speed since they were not moving fast, and neither were burning hot since oonoki could easily touch them.
I think you gotta read my post again. I agree with this statement as it is in the post.

It still stands that he cannot absorb a metoer. So far pretha path has been able to absord two forms of rasengan. Odama rasengan, jiraya vs pein and fuuton rasengan, naruto vs adara. Both rasengans are basically chakra balls and thats ideal for pretha path. A metoer isnt xd

Look I honestly would not want preta to be able to absorb the meteor, because one that would be OP and two that would look hilarious. But the fact remains that preta can absorb chakra that materializes even into physical substance such as fire, wind, or even oil, so until proven otherwise, if the meteor is made from chakra it can be absorbed.
Preta path can absorb almost everything chakra based. It's shown that it can absorb chakra infused sand, and the sand wasn't able to materialize anymore. I believe it can absorb mokuton too, the wood would just crumble because of it. And also there is some thread about wheter it can absorb amaterasu or not and i believe it can. The fact that edo Nagato used shinra tensei instead was just because he being controlled by kabuto (i think).
And finally that "meteor" jutsu, if it's chakra wise here what's gonna happen :
*The meteor comes down, preta path/nagato use that chakra technique absorption seal making like a round barrier and ones it hits the "barrier" around the user it will suck all the chakra consist in it like a vacuum and make it crumble*
Note : the barrier i mean was this
