kabuto says otherwise:Because he couldn't see it coming. If there hadn't been that smoke things would've turned out differently.
Totsuka was/is a weapon that was not initially in Itachi's susanoo, sinceYou must be registered for see linksit(You must be registered for see links), and Orochimaru doesn't have a susanoo to carry Totsuka...
No one ever said that his field of vision was 360. That's what byakugan has. Nagato just shares his sight with the summons and vice versa.kabuto says otherwise:
Also kabuto thought that nagato had 360 vision, but itachi's kunai's could still hit him.

rinnegan can see chakra spots just like the sharingan and byakugan. No one ever said that his field of vision was 360. That's what byakugan has. Nagato just shares his sight with the summons and vice versa.
Kabuto even mentioned that Nagato wasn't able to move that well.
If he had been able to see Itachi he would've known Itachi is attacking.

The whole back story of how Itachi got totsuka has never been addressed in the manga.Even though Orochimaru was looking for it, it could have been stored in a place in its chakra based form. By what your saying, Itachi took the blade with his susano, deactivated his susano, and the sword disappeared along with it. Therefore meaning that Itachi can grab someone with susano, deactivate it, then that person would disappear. hmm
The whole back story of how Itachi got totsuka has never been addressed in the manga.
But most of what your saying is under the impression that totsuka is a regular sword, totsuka has no physical form in the beginning.
How can it not be weightless if it has no physical form? Lol You have no basis to that claim. Both times it's been used to seal someone; it's been a one panel. It can't really be weightless, but is it very light, and it isn't ...instant Lol
If it has no physical form then it has got to be chakra based? Therefore meaning my OP was right...How can it not be weightless if it has no physical form? Lol You have no basis to that claim. Both times it's been used to seal someone; it's been a one panel.

Instant = Speed on par with FTG. Can you honestly say its instant? Or that Nagato under the impression/control of an inexpreienced Kabuto who was also controlling many other edo's couldn't react?
@Bold: Spiritual.
Yes, I can say that. You saw my logic for claiming that. You don't have to agree, but you don't have any evidence to disprove it.
Last point is irrelevant to Totsuka's speed.
Several plot holes:kabuto says otherwise:

It's not just that one panel; it has to do with the properties of Totsuka. I know that the panel doesn't mean it's instant and is for emphasising speed, but it along with it lacking a physical form adds to my claim. Like I said, you don't have to agree with it nor do I expect everyone to.Totsuka's speed on par with FTG... lol K mate.
One panel does not necessarily means it's "instant". Other things have been one panelled and it wasn't instant. It only expresses that the object travelled at a very high speed. Such as when Asuma one panelled Hidan's head. Was that instant? Nah not really. By your logic, Itachi and his .. "instant" blade should be > anyone. and that's definitely not the case.
First post soloed this thread.Preta absorbs chakra, totsuka is not chakra.
