Jiraiya and Onoki used jutsu that were bigger than that RS and Preta was able to absorb both jutsu with 0 difficulty. Take the L and walk away man. There was never a specified limit to how much chakra Preta can absorb at once.

Your argument failed the moment Nagato's preta path petrified from senjutsu. :sigar:

The meaning is ambiguous. Why would he say, "Too much energy," as opposed to "Too much chakra?" Would've made the message a lot more clear. My interpretation of it was that "Too much energy" refers to the Shinobi Alliance as a whole pressuring Madara's current usage of his abilities to the point where he needed the Rinnegan.

That makes a lot more sense as opposed to Madara struggling to absorb FRS when Nagato's Preta Path could absorb it.
what???...madara was OBVIOUSLY refering to the jutsu he just absorbed

Hashi's SM and Bee's cloak are self empowering modes, internal and non threating. FRS is a powerful ninjutsu projectile. Essentially one could take their time absorbing the modes, while an actual external attack must be dealt with immediately. It's understandable why madara said "Too much energy", absorbing an senjutsu enhanced RS of that caliber so quickly takes its toll. :sigar:
So what are you arguing for? That the technique has a total limit or a limit based on how much per time. Either way, I hope you know that the quote you use as an argument holds absolutely no ground.

"Too much energy"
1. Madara is using a fake Rinnegan
2. If it literally was "too much" then he would have been affected
3. We've already seen The Six Paths of Pain effortlessly absorb Rasenshuriken and they use mere channeled chakra
4. Unlike what you may think, Viz does not communicate with the author and is just an official source for manga. Their translations are simply better in grammar because of consumer standards.
