1. The ritual doesnt have to do with anything. Hidan stabbed his leg and asuma fell. hidan didn't. 2. Crushed organs and ribs = fatal. You die from that. You DIE from that. Its not solely pain tolerance. 3. Let me ask u, can u talk when u get your head chopped off? So why can Hidan talk? His head got severed. Hearts, organs, neurons, nerves are all required for him to stay alive and talk yet without them, he could still talk! Hidan is immune to paralysis, poison, etc.
