pre-ordering a game

i know this might seem stupid but i have never pre ordered a game before so i have some questions:

1. once i pre order it do i have to do something else or they will just bring it by my house when its ready?

2. do i gain anything from pre ordering than just buying?

1 depends if u preordered it from the shop or internet
Probably limited edition stuff like( a guide,map packs,..)

well pre order means that a copy will be reserved for you when it is released and when it is then you can pick it up or if u ordered it off line it will be mailed to you

you dont gain nothing but only if its limited edition witch comes with extra add ons that are not available in stores depending on the game you pre ordered and as for doing anything else just relax as long you gave right address your safe their gonna send you comfirmaton in your email on the release date stating your product is being delivered dont worry all you have to do is just wait for it to be in the mail or wait for delivery man or woman to deliver it at your door simple as that
