Im not argueing, im just trying to understand what you think will change by you praying...
I personally have donated half my wages to a local charity that helps out other countries like japan... because i believe we have to act to save them, not just pray...
"God" allowed these events to happen, so why would he step in now?

well in some religions its believed that these are signs of the world ending.
in other religions praying sends people kind of like you that donated to donate for this.
in other religions if something like this happens then its said that its happened for a reason and are told not to question it or your beliefs.
i will not state my religion.

why the hell are you guys arguing over religion? Religion is the sole reason of mankind's hubris (self destruction). I'm joining the Navy to help people and travel as well, im actually going to make an effort.
When i first read this it reminded me of the film 2012, when everyone in the vatican is praying because the world is falling apart, but then the building crashes down on them all killing them all...
I dont think the worlds gonna end in such a way... especially if people base it on ancient calender...

Could it be because, if he is, after all, planning on cleaning up the world, he would start with the messiest. Which is, in my opinion, Asia.
Leaving aside the fact that few Japanese are Christian, lots of them have twisted and perverted minds. You saw what they are capable of(i.e. : tentacle porn, sick anime/movies). It's that kind of creation and inspiration that drives others into looking up to them.
Makes sense if you ask me.
Whatever religious perspective one may or may not have is irrelevant. Fact is, there has been a lot of damage done, many have died while others are in need of help, we should all do whatever is within our means to help them. And people's arguments blaming God for this is bs(in my opinion). No one understands why God(if you believe in Him) does what He does, or even can ever understand. Why even make ANY of us alive in the first place seeing as how we'll all eventually die anyway? Or why make evil at all or a million other questions like those. Religious people don't believe this world is the only reality there is, many believe of this world as a test only where things are bound to finish.....anyways, eff it. Believe what you want, but don't attack other people's faiths, what happened is not a religious topic.
