So, all of you keep saying how sad you feel about the people who live there and how terrible it is, but I don't see any of you leaving your warm house and go and actually do something to change it.

I have nothing against your believes or religions, but honestly, don't you believers feel that your God is a huge hypocrite?

Let them believe what they want, and let them feel sorrow it's only human nature. I doubt there is many people on this site who have the money and resources to be able to go to japan and help right now.

Wait, wait. We are talking about natural disasters here. It's him or her or w/e it is, your god. I said that your God is hypocritical because he expects you to take whatever he does for granted and if that is some kind of a punishment, why should only a small part of the world to take it.
We can start a discussion, but as Flo said, it's resources that are needed not prayers, and I believe I stated that too.

Im with pesh on this one. To me prayer is just talking to yourself. Your so called "God" isnt going to stop all the destruction, fix it all and feed and heal the millions.

Your just wasting your time IMO, if you want to do something, do charity work or contribute to helping those who need it...

If I wanted to help, I wouldn't be talking. But saying you want to help and in the mean time simply talking to yourself to make yourself feel better, because that's what I believe a prayer is, is simply hypocritical from my point of view. One either does something or nothing, and talking is not part of this something I'm talking about.

okay then, if that's your beliefs then i respect it just as i hope you would respect mine or anyone else.
we all have different beliefs but we all feel the same way about the disaster and i believe that's what we should focus on.

by doing useless arguing your not doing anything different then what those "as you call them" useless prayers are.
