Right? He was probably mentioning that his clones /w Susano'o affected his absorption? It is very clear that he was not in Susano'o, and it was very clear that he mentioned the Susano'o affected the PP ability.

Kishimoto is just very unclear with his explanations and abilities. Remember when both Naruto/Sasuke got the RIkudou powerup and people thought that the seals held their powers? lol

Sage mode uses natural energy. Senjutsu is natural energy mixed with the user's chakra, it has to be mixed correctly also. Not sure if you didn't know that.

Because he drained his senjutsu.....

Actually PP absorbed his senjutsu twice, the latter part turned him to stone. Also Naruto was in sage mode when PP absorbed his senjutsu. Naruto even says he's absorbing his senjutsu.

He drain his Senjutsu two or three pages before he turn into stone.. PP didn't turn into stone until after Naruto start gathering more natural energy..

The manga contradicts itself many times. Hell even remember the Totsuka/Yata Mirror information, when Orochimaru escaped too? I remember that being a plot hole back in the day. There are more though, I would just have to trace back to my thread about it if you were interested in all the plot holes in the manga.

Exactly. That's why when Sasuke said he could possibly achieve immortality, he was not sure. He thought he could do anything, but Madara are gave us the answer on immortality with the Rinnegan. It is only possible when hooked up to that.


Exactly why it's a weird subjective answer. Because Madara implied that the Susano'o hindered his ability to absorb the chakra, yet his body was not in contact or engulfed by the Susano'o at all.

Sasuke says he can achieve immortality, so he can. He said it with assurance as a separate option from reincarnation. This isn't even related to the topic though.
