Ryuu arrived in a grassy clearing, where he had been instructed to meet for the training session. Looking around, he noticed some dummies here and there; this looked like the right place. Usually, a diligent student would get to work, training before their teacher arrives. However, the Hyūga was anything but that at the moment. Noticing that his teacher was not here yet, he instead sat on the green grass and took an apple out of his pocket, eating it whilst looking listlessly into the distance. Having eaten it, the boy then tossed the core next to him on the ground, before laying himself down in a comfortable position. Anyone else would feel that this was laziness, but Ryuu thought it was necessary. A good rest would do before the teacher arrived...

A large ripple-patterned eye opened up on the side of a hill near the training ground, an image of the resting boy reflected in its surface. It shut once more and the hill began to rumble and slowly split open like an over-sized hatch, revealing toothy maw of a giant crocodile and six people standing inside. They jumped out and somersaulted through the air for no reason at all. By the time they landed in front of their pupil the creature was already gone. Astra wasn't dressed for business today, sporting jumpsuits of various colors, a very power-ranger-esque ensemble.

Right on time i assume? I could just tell you about leg weights and how they work but you're a smart kid. Why don't you tell me what's so special about these weights. You ought to know, you bought them.

Waking to a loud rumbling sound, Ryuu opened one eye as he noticed a crowd standing before him. Too bad he missed their flashy appearance. He was not daunted to see so many people, as he already knew them. Smiling briefly out of familiarity, the boy yawned before getting up and stretching. He had to talk about the weights? Very well.

Using an ink technique, the sleepy eyed student formed words, sending them into the sentences in streams. His teacher would see sentences made of ink, as if written on paper, except they were transferred into the air as the ink user manipulated them.

Leg Weights are a set of weights which are strapped to a person's ankles. They have weight sealed in them through the use of Fuinjutsu. By wearing them and training at the same time, one becomes accustomed to its weight through time, and can eventually move at their normal speed with them on. Thus, when the wearer takes it off, their speed is doubled. Also, kicks become stronger than usual, given that the leg muscles are quite strong at that point. So I suppose I am here to make my legs stronger then...

(Inkupo: Kaiga Natsu) Ink Arts: Painting Summer
Type: Supplementary
Rank: D
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 10 (-5 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Usually used as a means for teaching other’s how to paint with ink, Painting Summer allows the user to manipulate their ink in various forms for different reasons such as demonstrating the applications of the ninjutsu. The range of this technique starts from short range as usual, painting the work of art into life such as furniture to sit on due to ink techniques having been known to sustain themselves, small animals for entertainment etc. The vast possibilities are endless, leaving it up to the user’s own imagination – though this technique has no offensive applications inherently though they may draw things such as weapons for demonstrations. These creations cannot be no bigger than five meters in height.

Once Astra had enough time to have finished reading it, the words of ink disappeared slowly, fading into the air.

Uh huh, you sure know your stuff... Astra only glanced the floating writing as they helped each other stretch. Nevertheless, if you can't endure the weight training it will just be a pointless endeavor. To avoid that outcome i've prepared a little test of will, a gauntlet of sorts. The Six sat in row and closed their eyes, all except for one. It's a simple spar between you and Astra. You'll be sparring with them individually using only taijutsu, same goes for them. The catch is they don't get tired like you do and will periodically switch with each other for repairs and such. That means you'll get to fight constantly for a long period of time against opponents at peak condition. Fun, right? If you can endure this for three full hours i'll know you're ready for the weights. The one who was talking stepped up and took a fighting stance. Let's begin right away!

OOC: I'm having no part in this. Just do whatever you want. :whip:

Ryuu pouted a little at hearing the words 'Nevertheless, if you can't endure the weight training it will just be a pointless endeavor.' Of course he could, he was a proud Hyūga! In his slight annoyance, he pretended not to be paying attention, although he really was. But when he heard the word spar, his mood brightened again, and he looked eagerly towards one of the Stars, ready to show his proficiency in the bodily arts. He was determined not to tire out during the 3 hours.

And so, they began. They started slowly, with simple punches, kicks and blocks. Being a Hyūga, Ryuu had no trouble dodging the attacks, and the same went for the Rinnegan user. Both sides kept at it. Ryuu tended to use kicks a lot, given that this training was meant for the legs after all. But no matter how hard he worked, he could not land a single blow on the Star. Until finally, he did manage to, as he caught the Star off guard with a low sweep kick, followed by a lunge up and a punch square in the chest. At this, the Star switched out with another one. Around one hour had passed. Ryuu was feeling a little tired by this stage, but he exerted himself more in order to not let it show. However, after some time, it was evident that he was not as fast as he was in the beginning. His reactions were slightly slower, and he even ended up taking a couple of blows, being sent to the floor before he expertly jumped back up as if nothing had happened.

Another hour passed, and the boy, although feeling tired, tried his best to not let it show. And then, another hour after that went as well. By this stage, one would be extremely tired, but Ryuu, who was a Hyūga, and so was used to this level of training, was not so bad looking by the end of it. He stood in front of the row Astra had made, breathing a little heavily, but with a look on his face that said, 'See, told you I could do it!' He then sat himself on the ground, trying to look professional, but in actuality he was trying to get his energy back.

Astra wondered if the challenge was too easy. After three hours of hand-to-hand combat the young Hyuga still had some energy left. They hadn't done this before so they weren't sure what kind of outcome to expect. Well, whatever. It was a good a gauge as any. Astra gathered around him, grabbing him by his legs and hanging him upside down. After the crowd dispersed the student was donning a new pair of leg weights. There. You've earned your weights. Now all that left to do is activate them... Astra rummaged through their pockets for a note telling them how the seal worked but could find it anywhere. They tried making handseals but to no effect. Eventually someone clapped twice and the seal was triggered. The weights became many times heavier than they were before, far heavier than their size should allow. After a brief pause Astra walked away, calling back to their student. Well, that's the end of part one. You'll need to get used to those so meet me here again in a month's time so we can complete your training. So long. The ground behind Astra erupted again and the giant crocodile consumed them before returning to the earth, leaving the student behind.

A little nervous at being turned upside down, Ryuu nevertheless allowed the weights to be put on his legs. Once they were on, and he was standing again, he felt a little proud at finally having them on his legs. Looking down at them, he smiled, but that smile was gone as soon as the weights were put into effect. All of a sudden, an unbearable amount of weight found itself upon the boy's ankles, causing him to fall forwards, right on his face. He did look rather comical. With Astra's parting words, the Hyūga thought that there should be no need for them to worry about him meeting up here in a month time, because by the looks of it, he may not even be able to get up. Struggling as his teachers disappeared, he tried to get up, but to no avail. Sighing, he decided to give up for a bit and fell asleep, still on his face. He could always try to get up later...

It's finally time to demonstrate the fruits of your training. Remove your weights and try to get through this obstacle course.

The course is just a flat track 100 meters long with a finish line at the end. Scattered along the path are several Stars and Giant Dogs whose only goal is to stop you from finishing.

(Katai Omori: Doroppu) Leg Weights: Drop
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A (+20 to Kicks, 2x Running Speed)
Description:
The user stops, bends over to reach his legs and unstraps his leg weights, dropping them to the ground. As a result the user gains a drastic boost to his running speed (doubles) and +20 to all his Strong Fist Kick-related moves. However, this boost in strength and speed is completely nullified when releasing the EIG or when using any kind of movement speed enhancement technique or weight manipulation technique; they don't add up on each other.

It had been a hard month, staying by himself to train here. At first, after his teacher had left, Ryuu had been stuck, weighed down by the weights. It had taken him a few days to even be able to move, by which time he was almost dying of hunger and thirst. Then it had taken him some more time to walk around, then jog, then run, and eventually even practice his kicks and punches. He could do them at the same speed as he could previously without the weights on. Now, as his teacher returned, Ryuu stood proudly before the flat track, ready to show off his training. Grinning a little, he started his run.

Ryuu could run through the track at a normal pace with his weights on now. As he did so, he found some obstacles in the way, the first being a pair of Stars. He tactifully avoided them though by feigning to run around them to their right, but instead, he went to the left instead, and he was already past them then. The next obstacle were some giant dogs. To deal with them, Ryuu simply performed an upwards kick, creating currents so strong that a tornado formed in the shape of a dragon, which quickly destroyed the dogs.
(Konoha Ryūjin) - Leaf Dragon God
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: A-rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description:
This is an ultimate taijutsu technique created by the legendary taijutsu master Chen. It appears to be initiated by an upward spin kick at which point it quickly becomes like tornado. Forming into a dragon with long whiskers, it attacks the target aiming to swallow them, at which point they are cut by the razor sharp air currents inside the attack. After initiating the attack, the user appears to remain shielded within the base of the tornado as the outward surface of the dragon seems to be solid enough for a person to impact and rebound off of, making the only way to enter the technique once it has been initiated is by being swallowed. However, there is one distinct weakness to the technique. Since the Dragon God's real form (and what it basically is) is that of an ordinary tornado, though cosmetically shaped into a dragon, its attack power is based on rotation. If one enters the attack's centre (Dragon's Eye) while rotating at high speed, such as Lee's One-Man Front Lotus, it can be dispersed without inflicting damage. The technique, while seemingly similar to Wind Release, is actually just the users own physical power (through the use of the spinning kick) shaping the air into currents through movement. It is, however, enough to fight off elemental ninjutsu of the same rank and below.
Note: Can only be used by Taijutsu Specialists and EIG users

Once they were taken care of, Ryuu was nearly at the end. But there were still two more Stars standing together. Running towards them, Ryuu aimed a lateral kick at the head of the closest Star, sending him flying. The angle he did it at ensured that the Star that was hit also hit the next Star, taking it along with it. With all threats out of the way, Ryuu finally made it to the end.
(Konoha Daisenkō) - Leaf Great Flash
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Charka cost: N/A
Damage points: 40
Description: Similar to Tsunade’s Sky leg but the user user charges at their opponent and unleashes a powerful lateral kick aiming at the head that will send their opponent flying away.
