It would help if Marco Polo bothered to be more educated about things he noted than letting his flight of fancy take the lead. It doesn't help when he calls crocodile a man eating serpent, Asian rhinoceros a unicorn, and added a fictional king in his book to give a cultural nod to missionaries.
