[Suggestion] Post ranking system in RP

Status quo: You must be atleast an S-class in posts to learn all techniques of the basic 5 up to S-class in RP

Suggestion: You can learn up to S-class but you can only use them in battle based on the rank you have.

Pros: Saves unnecessary spamming on the forum for members. Saves time for both teacher and student

Cons: None, if they use a technique beyond their rank in a fight, the other person can call them out on it as invalid.

Wouldn't it be the opposite effect as people would race to get to S-class as soon as possible to be able to use the "heavy stuff"?

It would spark greater activity in the forum and RP but the useless spam would be decreased.

Why would the spam be reduced? As of now people don't really spam for their post count as much as before, well atleast i have that feeling. I think the spark already is there though as you still have perks for upgrading your post rank in terms of the RP. Your base speed and opportunity to take sage missions and submitting customs/clans etc as well as being able to submit bios with extraordinary feats and take bio tests.

With this a teacher won't have to wait for a member to spam up to a certain post or drop him to increase the workload for the other teachers. The student won't have to lose time going to other teachers with an incomplete training who have their hands full already. Either way you look at it, this is an improvement.

Yes and there will still be spam but the overall quality of the posts will improve because you don't have to spam all over the forum and then become much less active over time once you reach S-class. This will increase activity over the longterm as people won't be forced to reach a certain post count.

They were never forced to pertain a certain post amount and i don't see people spam troll comments just to get better in the RP really. That's what the FG is for or at least one of its reasons. I don't think the overall quality of posts has anything to do with the terms of what posts unlock in the RP or at least very little. Spam is always going to be present. If you have your suggestion i imagine that people would spamfest up to S-rank because that means they could use S-class jutsu and then they wouldn't spam anymore to reach higher levels unless they want sage.

They were never forced to pertain a certain post amount and i don't see people spam troll comments just to get better in the RP really. That's what the FG is for or at least one of its reasons. I don't think the overall quality of posts has anything to do with the terms of what posts unlock in the RP or at least very little. Spam is always going to be present. Well shouldn't FG be posted in because people enjoy posting in it? From what you're describing FG is more like a spam zone rather than a place to get entertained. With my suggestion, things will be made easier at the beginning stages of RP and will also open more options. Some people only want to build their character instead of fighting but with the current rules, they have to get to atleast S-Class in posts before they can do that. Why not give this a testrun? We can always go back if it proves complicated but it will also be good for future progress if we're willing to test ideas.

You should not determine a person at first glance, he is a nice guy who makes good posts, far from what you call a troll. Also, I don't like spam so I will agree with the OP.

I think the best way to legitimately decide this is through people's votes.

Even if you manage to get enough votes, it all comes down to the decision of the RP admin, which is Caliburn. His word will be the final say.

If my input means anything, I say nay. The system is a pain for some, and not so much for others. Though it has worked for this long now, changing it now will most likely cause chaos. Your suggestion about a test run, I believe they did try something like this back in the very starting years ('08/'09) - and it very quickly failed, and they went back to the old system.

Could you explain why it'd be a pain? I only see upside with this.
