Possible Timeline Plothole

Didn't think about this. It is possible that Itachi was with the Akatsuki sooner than what was revealed. He could have been apart of Konoha and the Akatsuki at the same time. But if not, then OP is right, it's definitely a pothole by like others above me have said, it's not a relevant one.

Actually if you read chapter 619 Hiruzen clearly says that AFTER forcing him to kill his clan we EVENTUALLY had him watch over Akatsuki as a spy. Itachi joined Akatsuki after the uchiha massacre, unless it was a translation error.

his dying age was mentioned in some databook i think..and thats what messed it up. i always though he was like 13 during the akatsuki massacer...

That's because he was thirteen years old at the Uchiha Massacre.

OT: There is not Plot Hole, only mistakes.

Plus, Itachi at the beginning of Part One is seventeen. At the end of it he is eighteen.

Uchiha Massacre happened when Itachi was 13-14 and Sasuke was 7-8.
Part 1 Itachi is 18-19 and Sasuke 12-13.
Itachi dies at 22-23 when Sasuke is 16-17.

Except for maybe a few months of discrepancy, I don't really see a plothole.

True. It seems that if we go by the databook, there's a discrepancy of a little over one year. Maybe Kakashi was wrong and Itachi was 12 at the time he joined Akatsuki, and was almost 22 at his death

W/e. Its a pretty big mistake. Manga says that itachi massacred the uchiha, then left konoha to join akatsuki.

Manga also says that 10 years before part 2, Oro left, meaning Itachi was already a member.

I don't know why you mention this every time to me, cuz I do believe in that. The only thing I don't believe in is Akatsuki's statement on Orochimaru's departure.
