Possible theory on why Naruto "loved" Sakura

I wouldn't say I don't care on pairings, but this thought came to mind when reading the topic "Why does Naruto love Sakura"

Well I think I may have figured out why Kishi let this happen. It's because Sakura loved Sasuke, and Naruto was unconsciously falling for Sakura because of that. He wanted to be Sasuke so how could one start? With the girl, of course. He not only wanted to prove his worth to Sasuke but Naruto also wanted to show Sakura that he was just as worthy of a man.


Now as Naruto has progressed as a man he will soon realize how the only person he "loved" was just a mirage to his real goal, to the only person who had given feelings back for him. Hinata

Naruto's "love" for Sakura was out-right disgusting and portrayed horribly. It was like watching a kindergartner ask out another one, constantly to no avail. No love, no emotion, no feelings.

If anything Naruto and Sakura have proven that both a male and female can have a strong relationship with eachother without "those" feelings being in the way.

I agree completely. Maybe more character progression as he carries on into the manga, or the last movie?

Hopefully he'll learn to let things go when Sasuke returns or at least stops being "that" Sasuke.

Maybe. But I believe Naruto is finally progressing as a man and after this war he will have time for his "feelings" that aren't blocked by his sense of bromance-duty for Sasuke. Maybe, then, we'll see.

remember when Naruto swore on Hinata's blood to kick her cousin ass because of what Neji did to her...and the Pain arc was just another level of madness when she almost died right in front of him...and Neji gave his life for them in the battle field...the end of the circle that's it!
