It wasn't needed on account that Kaguya and BZ were essentially the same plot device. BZ's plot was made for the sole reason of reviving Kaguya.

I regard several plot devices in Naruto as inconsistent, however, for all the ones you mentioned, I found easy explanations. I don't believe these are really inconsistencies, but things left for the reader to interpret.

Sasuke's supposed PS in his EMS form is explained by he and Naruto mixing their chakras, not to mention Kurama's. Madara did the same with Kurama.

Madara's eyeless susano'o is explained via the gedo rods in his body, which resonate with the Rinnegan, both of which were in the vicinity. Recall he didn't use it again when Obito went into Kamui with the left one?

Obito became the rikudou and still had the chakras and jutsus of Hagoromo with the bijuus extracted or not. His hair was still white and he also absorbed some of the bijuus' chakra from Madara. The technique greatly seemed to parallel Indra, Ashura and Hagoromo's chakra transmigrations.

The Juubi didn't require two moons. That's not at all an inconsistency.

It's explained in the databook that she was an alien being from another planet who sought the shinju's power. Kishimoto was going to use that plot device but wound up abandoning it. Everything else was explained when BZ revealed his plot.

It was probably just the god gate he had already used on Madara, which Kurama seemed to claim was one of Hagoromo's seals when it was activated in Naruto.

It's just a character parallel. Sasuke looks a little like Izuna, was younger than Madara and ambitious.

They were Kaguya's dimensions. The castles were probably where she lived.

Kishi is not only lacking consistency in the last quarter of his manga, but he is also breaking the Chekhov's Gun literary rule willy-nilly.

All writer's have their own styles. They possess no obligation to follow other writers' "principles." Sorry, but communism and socialism have no place in fiction, which the Chekhov's Gun principle greatly mirrors lols. And who really cares what a short story writer has to say when it comes to novels, comics and epics? Genres of which are out of his jurisdiction.

Things in fiction can be ambiguous: Left open for interpretation. Just because one person doesn't like it, doesn't mean others won't. Doing so can create possibilities for new plots and preserve the story's mystique rather than allowing everyone to know every single thing about it.

Something about what Black Zetsu said didn't make sense to me no matter how I tried to rationalize it. He stated for a thousand years he approached and tempted the Ashura and Indra reincarnations for a thousand years, but he conveniently does not directly approach and tempt Madara and instead supposedly deceived him and acts as his will. Why is this? Then of course he appears in Madara's tomb and was somehow, inexplicably living in his body since he came out of his hand.

I suppose the most obvious inconsistency that many have already discussed would be how he was able to change the Uchiha tablet and control the mazou by taking out its white zetsus when he didn't possess Hagoromo's Rinnegan.

There was foreshadowing in the past and i can't be the only one who thought madara would lead to someone more powerful...

it prolonged the manga for about 10 chapters (although it would have been nice to use these to actually wrap up the story)

it set up the movie plot (Kaguya always seemed like a filler character -a huge threat that comes out of nowhere)

None of it was worked in adequately beforehand, which is why it seems awkward.

Except of course, that Tobi was Obito from the start, Surely Tobito is enough evidence that he planned it. How about the fact that Kakashi got his MS revealed around the same time Tobi was introduced?

I don't think he is talking about Tobi=Obito. Just many things after the reveal.
