The Eye of the Moon Plan (月の眼計画, Tsuki no Me Keikaku) is Madara Uchiha's ultimate plan for world domination, which seems to involve using Sasuke Uchiha to synchronize with the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, which holds seven of the nine tailed beasts gathered by Akatsuki. Madara notes that after Sasuke has failed to capture Killer Bee and the Eight-Tailed Giant Ox, he has been cautious for too long, and that it is time to emerge from the shadows and commence with this plan. During his attack on Konoha, Madara named "starting a war to bring peace" as the reason for the attack, a poetic way to describe his ultimate plan.

After Madara revealed this plan to four of the five Kage at the Land of Iron, they responded in refusing to hand over the last two jinchūriki, Naruto Uzumaki and Killer Bee, and formed an Allied Shinobi Forces to prevent the Eye of the Moon Plan from succeeding.

He will then become the jinchūriki to the Ten-Tails, giving him immense power and the ability to project his Mangekyo Sharingan on to the moon. He intends to use the moon, the prison of the Ten-Tails body, to cover the world in an "Infinite Tsukuyomi", thereby letting him control every living being, creating a world in which no war or crime occurred.[1]

Part of his plan was to have Zetsu attract the attention of the five Kage at the Kage Summit and lure them to fight against Sasuke Uchiha. In doing so, Madara hoped that the five would be weakened enough for him to take them as hostages to negotiate the capture of the Eight-Tailed Giant Ox and Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. This, however, ended in failure, due to Sasuke exhausting himself almost to the point of death after combating the combined forces of the Fourth Raikage and his bodyguards, the Fifth Kazekage and his bodyguards, Mifune, the Fifth Mizukage and one of her bodyguards, and the Third Tsuchikage. Meanwhile, Danzō Shimura, the Candidate Sixth Hokage, escaped.

Above is Madara's plan (source from Naruto Wikia) However the flaw in his plan is that the Genjutsu is cast from the moon, therefore the people should be free from the genjutsu during the day...so......what do you all think?

Awesome point! Maybe, it stays even when the moon isn't out? Kind of like if an Uchiha blinks or closes their eyes during a genjutsu, it doesn't stop, right? Still good point.

Not to nit-picky (spelling?) , but I thought that the moon was the "shell" left behind from the SO6P sealing it away into him, not inside. I thought it WAS the moon, not inside. Good point on your part too, though. Even if it's the moon instead of inside, obviously the moon isn't harming anyone. How could Madara make that rock in the sky a biju again?

As a final precaution, using Chibaku Tensei, the Sage entombed the physical remains of the Ten-Tails within a colossal stone prison and hurled it into the heavens, creating the moon.

Keywords; entombed, within, prison. but even if it was the moon, instead of being inside it, that would still mess with his plan.

in addition to this, would Madara not have to keep this 'Eternal Tsukuyomi' concentrated on the moon as long as it lasts? And we've seen that when Tsukuyomi lasts for two-three days in it's world, that it's only a few seconds in our world, so would people live longer in this illusion? The reason I brought this up is because I don't think it would be very entertaining to stare at the moon all day and night casting the genjutsu upon it.

Kishi knows this and will thus create a loophole somewhere along the lines of the show that might allow Madara to get the Yin half of the fox.

maybe it could have something to do with Psuedo Jinchuurikis ?

Tsukuyomi can change time. Knowing that Madara possibly has some hidden power, he could cast an infinite Tsukuyomi so that it never ends and all the space time difference wont exist. So 1 second in the real world could equal an eternity in the Tsukuyomi. Plus when Itachi used Tsukuyomi on Kakashi, the moon was there.

its not that simple once your caught in the genjutsu in infinte genjutsu and if its anything like itachi`s your trapped in that forever.

lol i dont think he realizes that when the suns out when he wakes up the moons out on the other side of the world when another falls asleep.

the whole plan sounds like nothing remotely like that isn't going to happen in narutoverse. So in another words it's kinda lame "threat" since it's so unlikely and unrealistic.
And since naruto is getting stronger and stronger every day, madara is going to have tough times ahead of him trying to capture him.
