"only really strong uchiha".. There were plenty of unnamed strong Uchiha. Just like there were plenty of unnamed strong Senju. There have been plenty of strong shinobi throughout history.
Madara = the leader and the strongest , and Indra's transmigrant
Hashirama = the leader and the strongest, and ashura's transmigrant.
Take those 2 out...
Tobirama > Izuna
Fodder senju > fodder Uchiha
This argument entirely relies on what you're referring to, descendants or reincarnations. A lot of people make the mistake of mixing those two entirely different terms (with relevance to the plot).
The descendants of Indra and Ashura are the Uchiha and Senju clans respectively.
The Senjus have been the stronger clan throughout history despite Uchihas possessing the stronger bloodline. This could be due to the fact that a lot of Uchihas didn't even awaken the Sharingan in the first place, due to its unusual and uncommon activation requirement i.e. feeling the pain of the death of a close one. Not everyone have had experienced that. So in general, Senjus are superior to Uchihas.
But for those Uchihas who have awakened the Sharingan (or even the Mangekyou Sharingan), they possess almost equal power to the Senjus. And in that case, the result could go either way depending upon the situation in battle. Can't really be resolute on one side on that one. For example, Tobirama and Izuna. In their case, they possessed almost equal power but Tobirama defeated Izuna by tactics, in which again, the result was build upon the scenario.
But when it comes to reincarnations, it's an entirely different story. They have direct inheritance of power from the Sage's sons i.e. not depending upon the clan's affinity or likelihood to awaken a certain power. And it's like almost everything has been decided, and their fates are similar.
Firstly, the only one's to awaken the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan within the Uchihas were Indra's reincarnations. Indra's reincarnations have the capability to unlock the full potential of their stronger bloodline, and are STRONGER than corresponding Ashura's reincarnations unlike regular Senjus and Uchihas, as manifest from observing the powers of Madara, Hashirama, Sasuke and Naruto. EMS Madara w/ Nine Tails (considering Nine Tails as Madara's power is completely fair because he has the ability to control it) was stronger than Sage Hashirama. And Sasuke is stronger than Naruto. And despite being stronger, they always lose in battle. That's their fate.
indra's descendants needed the powers of Ashura's descendants to surpass them.
Firstly, you have to make up your mind on who you're talking about, descendants or reincarnations.
Indra's descendants (Uchihas) are generally weaker than Ashura's descendants (Senjus), but that doesn't mean they need Senjus powers to surpass them. They could... since they have an option. And if they did obtain their power, they could surpass them as well. But why even bring this into argument since it never happened. There has never been any Uchiha who surpassed the Senjus by obtaining their power (aside from Obito because he was meant to be a villain i.e. wasn't meant to surpass anyone and he didn't have any Senju parallel, and I'm NOT talking about reincarnations at this point).
But if you're referring to the reincarnations of Indra and Ashura, then you are completely wrong. Indra's reincarnations are stronger than Ashura's by default (without obtaining their power). The only one who obtained Ashura's power was Madara, but he was stronger than Hashirama even before that.
Uchiha's have had MS for years, I mean look how suprised Tobirama was when Sasuke used Amaterasu. Not to mention the story of Izanagi whether or not that was canon. Prime Sasuke soloing the Senju clan is not a feat when you compare Adult Sasuke to anyone aside from Naruto, he beats anyone aside from Kaguya/Naruto with EMS. Naruto would solo the entire Uchiha clan including Madara, Itachi, and Obito by himself in his prime. Not to mention Hashirama destroyed the strongest Uchiha alive during the war era, Madara.
@bold You're quite wrong there. Many of the Uchihas did not even awaken the Sharingan (let alone the Mangekyou Sharingan) probably because of its unlikely and uncommon cause of activation. And that also explains their inferiority to the Senjus. They weren't able to take maximum benefit of their stronger bloodline.
And forget about Tobirama. He wasn't even surprised when Infinite Tsukuyomi launched. Does that mean he has seen Infinite Tsukuyomi for years?
@italic Don't exaggerate Naruto's potential by THAT MUCH.
@underlined Hashirama and Madara have a different story in contrast to their respective clans. Unlike the general situation where Ashura's descendants (Senju clan) are stronger than Indra's (Uchiha clan), this is the opposite. Indra's reincarnations are actually stronger than Ashura's, though not dominant.
And the only way Indra's descendents ahve a chance against Ashura's is, if they become Indra and Ashura.. Lol
Firstly, forget about the latest versions of Madara (Rinnegan Madara & Juubi Madara). Talk about the one who was a pure Uchiha i.e. EMS Madara.
On the second note, don't judge their entire range of descendants only by what their reincarnations have done. Yeah, Senjus are stronger than Uchihas, but give me an example of Uchihas surpassing Senjus by obtaining their power ASIDE FROM REINCARNATIONS. Exclude Obito because he didn't have any Senju parallel and the reason of obtaining power wasn't rivalry, it was antagonism.
And speaking of reincarnations, Indra's reincarnations are stronger than Ashura's as shown in Madara vs Hashirama and Sasuke vs Naruto. And if you determine their power by their victory in battle, you're an idiot.
No Sage of Six Paths power ups. Only the Notables.
Indra
EMS Madara
EMS Sasuke
Itachi
Obito
Shisui
Izuna
Ashura
Hashirama
BSM Naruto
Nagato
Tobirama
Kushina
If you're excluding Sage's power ups, then why give Naruto BSM? Don't the bijuus belong to the Sage?
