This is a feat of physical strength and before you say the chains helped, they didn't because the chains became loose after the kyuubi shrunk. Tsunade has never been shown stopping something as large as the 9 tails.

Kushina is an ashura descendant like tsunade they both have strong life force and body, kushina just has a stronger combination.
