I'm not saying she got a great change in personality. But she indeed mentally changed for a better person. Yeah, Kishimoto could have displayed more of her change, but he didn't. Actually, Naruto is a character that hadn't a great personality change either, despite the fact that he matured a bit (I'm not comparing his development in general with her, I'm talking about personality development).

And her fangirlism becoming love is shown in part 1. It began in forest of death and gradually becoming stronger. It wasn't a sudden change. And the only thing she did in the war that people was considering fangirlism was because she said "Sasuke-kun" when he arrived next to her and also because she was thinking that he didn't care for her when he was pretending to be a jerk.

[Sasuke only treated Team 7 bad because he had hatred,put revenge above everything else,and wanted to sever all his connections and bonds.They knew this,they wanted to save him and get the good Sasuke back,and they have.
Sakura is the closest person to Sasuke after Naruto.Him developing romantic interest in her is understandable.He changed back to the good side,completely opened up to them,apologized for everything,gave Sakura the forehead poke which Masashi said was,"Sasuke's ultimate form of expression",which showed Sakura was special to him.He also thanked her,which was for always supporting him,always trying to help him,and never giving up.Then he tells her he will see her when he comes back,and goes off on a journey to redeem himself.He lived up to his words and came back and is with her.
Sakura and Sasuke grew up together going to the Ninja academy.When they were placed in Team 7,along with Naruto,and Kakashi they all got to know each other from their days as a team,where they became teamates,comrades,and friends.

Neither she has a selfish behaviour regarding Sasuke anymore. Indeed she is a character that revolves around boys, but the way her relationship with them improved actually shows some little development.
No, I'm not saying her feelings grew naturally after Sasuke left, I'm saying that since the Chuunin Exams her relationship with him started developing. She was a fangirl once, but since she realized life wasn't a fairy tail and Sasuke was a broken boy that had many flaws and needed help, she started developing deeper feelings for him, and this development is shown in manga. The fact that he was a troublesome didn't make her give up on him, but quite the opposite, when she noticed he was going to leave the village after Orochimaru marked him in order to sink into darkness, she was willing to help him more and more. If this isn't to turn into a better person somewhat, I don't know what it is.

This is a development too. In the beginning she just thought about inviting Sasuke for dates and didn't care about becoming stronger, but then, when she saw how much Naruto was wounded because of his promise, she finally realized she couldn't stay that way forever, so she decides to become Tsunade's apprentice. It is somewhat a improvement. It's a pity Kishi didn't show us more though =/

medic ninja must be capable to stay alive to do their task which is healing because they are clearly not fighters, doesn't mean they cannot learn some stuff to defend themselves in case nobody is near to protect them.
