Interested enough to see what happens but I got to be honest haven't been excited with a chapter for a long time.

Fair enough. I guess I had let some ''omg this manga has turned into crap'' threads get to me and I made the post with those in the back of my head.

True the OP asked about how it is progressing.
I do like the war arc though. Not everything, but most of it.
Without the war arc we wouldnt have have the opportunity to see old kages from the past, emotional moments of
closure, like Gaara and his father, we wouldnt have seen Naruto become friends with Kurama and the other
bijou gaining trust in humans again, just as how they trusted the sage.
The peacetheme got expanded on quite a lot in the war arc and quite
some other things.

I am not bothered by Minato with SM, as one can read from my thread in my sig.

I found the shinobi Alliance all using doton wall very confusing though.
Everyone can use weak jutsus of all 5 elements?

Madara using Susanoo without eyes raised some questionmarks for me as well.
I dont like how powerful Madara is though. I dont like a jutsu like that Limbo Rinnegan one.
That one kinda happened out of nowhere for me. Sorta seemed like some karma jutsu, hitting
back what was done to you. In that case it is cool.

Sasuke being unable to move by another new Rinnegan jutsu...
Like where do all those Rinnegan jutsu all of a sudden come from lol.
Probably a few more moments that I wasnt to fond off, but overal I am quite content
with this series and also with how it is progressing.

I can understand this. The war itself was necessary for the overall story. When the war started I was completely gung ho for it. I even enjoyed it up until Madara just casually tossed all 5 Kage aside like children.

But I forgave that as he iis the big bad. still, I would have liked to have seen him struggle at least a bit against them. I'd say the real letdown for me was when the Juubi showed up. from there it kept being ho hum chapters for me.

But I digress. Minato having Sage Mode notwithstanding, Obito punching Madara in the gut and wiping that smug look off his face save this latest chapter for me.

I loved the War and Juubi Revival Arcs. I've absolutely adored this series for years.

But, the current arc is BS.
- Too many asspulls, like Minato having Sage Mode
- Obito not having his rightful title as Final Villain
- Madara not being able to decide whether reading the Uchiha Stone Tablet's words strengthened by his experiences or jealousy and spite at Hashirama was his reason to turn evil.
- A complete repeat of the whole Biju capture - Juubi revival - (less cool looking) Juubi Jin cycle
- The ridiculously quick pacing; eg the Biju being sealed in the Mazo within moments (completely crapping on Akatsuki and making the series pointless) and the Juubi being revived within minutes as opposed to what had to be around an hour.
- The Alliance being only good for getting killed.
- Spiral Zetsu returning just to be fodderised by Taka and have all his depth via his friendship with Obito ruined.
I'm pretty sure I could go on:dunno:
