[Discussion] Political corruption in America and other countries

Its not the goal, and most people are in a illusion of comfort. Most Americans only care about their local governments because they feel like they have a say, the federal government isn't as welcoming and as dynamic based on the populous. That is a fact. Local governments are fine the federal needs to be more abrasive of its citizens, and there also needs to be some kind of inclusion not simply voting but a more detailed view of the government.

For America, the formation of a perfect union has always been the goal:
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."


And yes i agree with you on that. But giving more power to state governments and local governments didn't work out for america in the past. America hardly has any unity. We are a fragile nation that be torn apart at anytime.

You didnt read correctly, i never said more power to the local and state government, I said to make it as dynamic as the federal government. The American mentality is that they dont participate because they feel they are not making a difference.

Yea, because of the party system tho bro. We can't make changes if we keep sending the same people over and over. We need new choices.. Local and state governments are quite dynamic only problem is they are under the federal government. Federal government can restrict local and state governments. Because that was the choice the founding fathers made.

Why is it that when people register to vote, they usually register in a specific political party. But now people are are increasing as independent voters tho.

But i mean we have people serving in congress for 30 years in a row .... of course the people feel nothing is happening.. and people are partially to blame themselves.

Small countries, with hardly any diversity compared to America. Big countries really can't follow their lead.

They can, it's just with bigger countries all they want is power - they're corrupt, that's why they have a hard time getting better. It is easier for smaller countries, but it's possible with bigger ones to, like America.
