Hey just wondering which pokemon game you guys would recommend X/Y or Black/White and which version?

X and Y are fantastic (depending on who you talk to.)
I was a bit disappointed in the regional pokedex, but overall it was a great game, and introduced many new features to competitive battling.

OT: If you have a 3DS, just get X/Y. B/W and B2/W2 are cool, but I prefer X/Y over them any day.

My favorite is heart gold. But on topic I like x way more than white. I like the originals and white didn't have any in it but x has a Shit ton. 4 of my pokemon in x are from the original 150. I'm not to big a fan of the new pokemon. Some are cool but a lot of them are stupid as ****

OT: X and Y, preferably X if you're in to competetive battling. Nintendo is shutting down Wi-Fi access to All nintendo wii and DS games so it'd really be no point

I don't wanna get into the argument that seems to be brewing in this thread with people who are old-timers, myself included, but Pokemon X and Y were way overhyped. I'll agree with the development of the 3DS, it brought some pretty cool features, but after I beat the game, I barely had an incentive to play again. Take note that I also used to be quite competitive (breed for IVs, nature, etc.), but I just couldn't bring myself to do that with this new generation. No replay value for me. The only + I'd give it is the music and the story cause Lysandre is the best. Oh, also, the new EXP share completely broke the game. Not challenging at all.
