Ok for realsies... this is the last one, wrote this two years ago. Poetry still sux but I like sharing it for some reason
Mine Not to Have
As my heart tries to grasp you walk away
By my side, my hands wish that you would stay
My arms feeling naked and bare
Can’t stand the fact of you not being there
In them, with coveting affection to be shared
Step by step you leave from my side
I sit there and my hearts cries
Out “please don’t leave, I want you here
Just be by my side so I can always hold you near”
Changes can’t be made, decisions are set
Things are constant, there is nothing to correct
Wanting place a bet
But what is there for me to expect?
Mine Not to Have
And nothing can change that
Even though my heart wants you
There’s nothing I could do
To make you say yes
To make you feel the way I do
To make you stay
To make you never go away
To make you guess
To make you my boo
I want you to be with me
So maybe you can see
If that we are ever to be
You too would see our glee
Because the pain in my heart in killing
The inner essence of my being
Sitting
I’m wishing we could have an ending
Like a storybook without pretending
But alas, you are mine not to have
You are mine not to have
Frustratingly playing back to me in my brain
Reminding me that it will always be the same
By my side, my hands wish that you would stay
My arms feeling naked and bare
Can’t stand the fact of you not being there
In them, with coveting affection to be shared
Step by step you leave from my side
I sit there and my hearts cries
