while i agree that the recent development in the manga is kinda retarded,
i don't think there is a plot hole, because we did know that obito pretend to be madara before the real madara actually come out,

now obito stated that he was the one who encourage yahiko to create akatsuki and gave nagato the rinnegan but he said all that when he claim himself as madara right ?

we can easily assume that what he's talking about is true knowing that madara is alive to the point of nagato childhood right ?
so that's mean obito stated the truth as madara spokesmen,

it doesn't mean that obito use some kind of time travel method via the boulder and get back to the past, madara simply save his ass and brain washed the brat and turn him into the man that we know now,

in other words, tobi/obito knowledge coming from madara knowledge its just that simpleU_U

Madara may of planned this from the start. Train and save obito, then give Nagato his eyes. Then die and wait to be resurrected by Nagato. The timelines a bit confusing, it we need a flashback to show us how it all happened.

Well.. My guess is that Madara was resurrected by etc. Edo Tensei before, and in that way talked to obito n' stuff.

When resurrected that way, the summoner can unsummon you again (Like Kabuto does using the coffins).

And perhaps he was summoned by the second hokage?
The second hokage invented that jutsu for a reason - perhaps because he needed some information from Madara? And after he was done, he unsummoned Madara, and marked the jutsu as forbidden?

That would also explain how Madara knows so much about that technique - because he was the prototype

Considering the fact that Madara probably would have been in his 100's or something by Obito's time, Nagato would have been a brat in comparison. As for the 'growth' comment, there are many ways he could have grown. He could have meant that Nagato had finally grown into his powers or had grown out of his 'childish' ideologies that he held before Yahiko's death.

And...Why does he look so young? He's Uchiha F***ing Madara. His chakra is baddass, and he was probably jacked up on Hashirama's magic cells.

for example : edo nagato couldn't walk properly.

moreover,
if madara died young (reason is told above),
this contradicts the fact that madara lived too old to have met nagato or obito.

and tobi can't simply give nagato the rinnegan , why ? because obito is younger than nagato.

thats the plot hole.

Uhm, it's only a plot hole if Nagato's Rinnegan is not his own. Everyone is assuming, based on Obito's words mid-battle to Konan, that someone gave it to him. Frankly, that's flimsy evidence at best considering Obito's tendency to lie like the wind.

If Madara didn't give Nagato his Rinnegan, and only developed his own much later in the timeline, he could have easily been around for Obito's transformation.
