Plot hole by kishi.....

When madara was revived he said he died ' shortly' after awakening the rinnegan. Now in the latest chapter he tells obito he gave his original eyes to someone else. Logic and common sense suggests that he was referring to Nagato, because madara referred to him as a brat and when tobi was impersonating madara he said he gave the rinnegan to him.

If you all remember, oroxhimaru was still with konoha when nagato already had his rinnegan. A whole generation ( at least 20 odd years) would pass before obito would be crushed by the rocks. Yet madara is still alive. 20 years=shortly? Kishi needs to clarify this.

Pretty true...I hope the excuse isn't that because he has lived over 100 years that 20 is a short time for him...I still don't like the thought that Nagato was "Given" his Rinnegan when he is first back flashed he unlocks it as his parents died. Nagato has gone from being a destined child to nothing but someone who was given his strength from an Uchiha....It was so much better when before, and I agree...it does make a story problem.

This is possible. But i think if you had asked a 100 ppl to read that chapter they would have felt he was talking literally, a time period of a few days at most. And, frankly you cant really blame them for thinking that.

well if you think about madaras position in the latest flash back he is hooked up to hashi life support so madara may see that as being dead seeing how he cant go anywhere as he cant do shit without that tube

so,

being a ghost maybe he doesn't consider about the timeline even if it is 5 yrs, 10 yrs, 20 yrs....and so on.... maybe for him anytime can be a short time when he became a ghost.

Yh I know man, Nagatos character was so awesome before but now that we know Madara gave him that power its like meh.
