This is Zetsu:
The guy has green hair.
The only reason he has a black side, is because of this happening:
Because at first, that zetsu looked like(check the one with the half face):
but there are also zetsu who look like this:

and now, this is Itama:
Itama his hair has 2 colors. Zetsu his hair exists of 1 color. He has green hair.
Itama (as far as one can tell from black and white manga pages), has probably one half black hair and the other half whitegreyish. Just as Hashirama is black haired and Tobirama whitegreyish. Probably normal skin color as well and it is only 1 color. Zetsu his skin is only 1 color as well, cause it is white.
The only zetsu who has a black half, is 1 zetsu. The one that Madara attached his will in physical shape to and not even that one is like Itama. The black and white zetsu, has green hair on both sides as well. Their hairshape (not color) of Zetsu and Itama, are more alike than that the whole black and white theme, has anything to do with each other. Cause the real zetus, is just a white creature with green hair. As said, there is no blackness involved, only in one zetsu, the one where Madara added a black skin (no black hair).
There is no evidence at all, that Itama has anything to do with Zetsu.
If anything, this guy has more to do with Itama than Zetsu:
Because they seem to either have dyed their hair the same way or were born with the same condition.
Tbh, one of the only possible ways I see, for Itama having to do anything with zetsu (and that has nothing to do with his double hair color), is in the following scenario:
Uchiha implant eyes to empower themselfs from MS to EMS. What is Senju's implant cells instead of eyes?
In that way, Itama's cells could have become part of Hashirama and thus, have become part of Zetsu.
However, one can wonder how likely this theory is to become true and it isnt needed for the story at all.
So its time to do this :nexus: with all the Itama=zetsu nonsense
